The first mini update since the recent patch.
The promised August Mini update for Diablo Immortal is finally out. This time, the Mini update comes packed with multiple limited-time events, the return of Hungering Moon, a new replayable game mode, and a new diabolical cosmetic set.
To round things off, the August Mini update comes with several bug fixes and another set of thirty-six new Legendary Items for all classes in Diablo Immortal.
We go over the August Mini update patch notes in this guide.
Fractured Plane
The exciting new limited-time event, Fractured Plane, throws players into a 15-floor gauntlet filled with powerful enemies. Normally, facing hordes of enemies shouldn’t be a problem, especially if you’re equipped with high-level gear.
But, there’s a catch – in the Fractured Plane limited-time event, players cannot play through the even with your usual items. Instead, players are given a random set of skills relative to their current class, and they have no choice but to use their skills to find Legendary gear and Chaos Coins around the area to help strengthen their character.
Players must also pick up those Chaos Coins as they can use them at the Chaos Broker. The Chaos Coins they collect from the event can be exchanged for new items or Shards of Fortune. Shards of Fortune will, in turn, increase their Fortune Rating and improve their chances of getting better Legendary Items from each floor.
To sweeten the deal, players can keep a random Legendary item they find in the plane if they clear all fifteen floors without dying more than five times.
Free for All Battle Royale – Echo of the Immortal
A new PvP event called the Echo of the Immortal has also been added in the Mini update.
In the Echo of the Immortal event, 15 players will band together to defeat a random player imbued with the power of the Immortal. If the players manage to beat the solo player, the event becomes a free-for-all battle royale where only one player will stand victorious.
The event runs from August 17, 3:00 a.m., to September 14, 3:00 a.m. server time.
Into the Dark Wood
Players can get exciting rewards by completing tasks in the Into the Dark Wood event, which runs from August 17, 3:00 a.m. to August 31, 3:00 a.m. server time.
Players also have a chance to unlock the exclusive Wreath of Blood Portrait Frame.
Hungering Moon
The moon is still hungry for blood as the Hungering Moon event returns for yet another run lasting from August 26, 3:00 a.m., to August 29, 3:00 a.m. server time.
By now, you already know the drill – acquire all seven Blessing and trade them in for a random reward.
Spawn of Damnation Cosmetic Set
Ever wondered where all those dead demon bodies go after completing an Elder Rift run? Blizzard turns them into cosmetic sets made out of demon skin.
For the August Mini update, Blizzard added a demonic-looking skin derived from the flesh of demons – the Spawn of Damnation Cosmetic set.
Players who fancy the Diablo-like set can purchase the cosmetic set from the in-game shop.
