Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in the old times in the Pokemon world at a time when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the land of the Hisui region, known as the Sinnoh region in modern times, you’ll join the Galaxy Expedition Team (or just Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every species of Pokémon from the Hisui region to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.

How to Evolve Hisuian Voltorb to Hisuian Electrode in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

The game has certain Pokemon that the player cannot catch in the wild. The player can only obtain these Pokemon through evolution. One of these Pokemon is the Hisuian Electrode, and in this guide, you will learn how to evolve a Hisuian Voltorb to Hisuian Electrode!

Hisuian Voltorb to Hisuian Electrode

Hisuian Electrode is an Electric and Grass Type Fox Pokemon, and the version of Electrode found in the Hisuia region introduced in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Like the regular Electrode, which resembles an upside-down Poke Ball with eyes and a mouth, the Hisuian Electrode also looks like an upside-down Poke Ball with eyes and mouth. However, it resembles the Poke Ball of its time, which is why its top half is brown with a wooden pattern instead of white, and its lower half is more orange than red. Its surface texture is similar to an Apricorn used to craft Poke Balls in the game’s period. Aside from that, compared to the regular Electrode’s arch eyebrows and smiling grin, the Hisuian Electrode’s eyes are inside a debossed pattern that looks angry, and its mouth is in a frown. According to its Pokedex entry in the game, the Hisuian Electrode lets loose an electric current equal to 20 lightning bolts when irritated.

As mentioned above, unfortunately, the player cannot find an Hisuian Electrode in the wild, and the player can only catch it through evolution. To evolve a Hisuian Voltrob to a Hisuian Electrode, the player must use a Leaf Stone on Hisuian Voltorb. To do that, the player must first know where to find a Hisuian Voltorb.

Hisuian Voltorb

The player can find a lot of Hisuian Voltorbs in the east of Sacred Plaza in the Coronet Highlands and Hisuian Voltorb can be found in these locations at all times of the day and in every weather condition.

If you plan on distracting it with food before catching it, it is worth mentioning that Hisuian Voltorb’s preferred foods are Crunchy Salts.

If you plan on battling a Hisuian Voltorb first before catching it, it is worth noting that, as mentioned, Hisuian Voltorb is an Electric and Grass-type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Bug-type, Fire-type, Ice type, and Poison-type moves (super effective) and a resistance to Grass type, Steel type, Water type, and especially Electric-type moves (not very effective).

Leaf Stone

The player may obtain a Leaf Stone by breaking Tumblestone Ores shaking in the Coronet Highlands. Breaking these shaking ores, however, will result in a Pokemon like Geodude or Graveler popping out and battling the player.

Also, the player can purchase a Leaf Stone for 5,000 Pokemon Dollars from Ginter at the Gingko Guild Shop in between the Galaxy Hall and the player’s headquarters. However, Ginter will call it a Leaf Imprint Rock. Again, the items that the Gingko Guild Merchants sell are not the same, so purchasable items may vary. To change the items that Ginter is selling, the player must first catch 20 Pokemon.

The player can purchase a Leaf Stone from the Trading Post near the Training Grounds for 1,000 Merit Points. The player can earn Merit Points by returning lost satchels all over the Hisui region.

Other than that, the player may also find some Leaf Stones on the ground inside of Space-Time Distortions, so check out the items inside them.

Finally, Hisuian Electrode!

After catching a Hisuian Voltrob and obtaining a Leaf Stone, the player can now evolve Hisuian Voltrob into a Hisuian Electrode!

To do that, this is what the player must do:

  1. Put the player’s Hisuian Voltorb in the Player’s party by talking to the Galaxy Member near the tent on any of the Base Camps and selecting “I want to see my Pokemon” on the prompt or heading to the Pastures in the eastern part of Jubilife Village.
  2. Then, ensure that the Leaf Stone is in the player’s Satchel. If not, the player can access the Item Storage in any of the Base Camps or the Item Storage near the Front Gate in the northeastern part of Jubilife City and move the Leaf Stone to the player’s Satchel.
  3. Next, return to the game and press the up directional button to open the player’s Satchel.
  4. Select the Leaf Stone, select “Use” on the prompt, then select Hisuian Voltorb from the player’s party to use the Leaf Stone on Hisuian Voltorb.
  5. Confirm on the prompt to evolve Hisuian Voltorb, then, just like that, Hisuian Voltorb will evolve into a Hisuian Electrode!

Now that the player has a Hisuian Electrode, the player can try to use the Hisuian Electrode to complete other requests, missions, or Arceus’ task for the player, which is to catch ‘em all!
