Godfall is pretty special in many ways. It has introduced us to mechanics that have never before been seen in an RPG. In some ways this is a good thing, but in some it might feel as though they have tried too much to be different.
It’s good to know that an RPG these days can be so unique. Even though Godfall might feel like it tries too much to be different, no one can argue with its gameplay, mechanics, and overall RPG aspects of it.
Valorplates Guide – Godfall
That brings me to my next point. In Godfall there are armors called Valorplates. But are these just armors or something more?
Well, interestingly Valorplates are the classes in this game, there are twelve in total and all of them have different perks, abilities, look, and feel.
All Valorplates / Classes
- Aegishorn
- Armistice
- Bullwark
- Greyhawk
- Hunterclaw
- Illumina
- Mesa
- Mobius
- Phoenix
- Silvermane
- Typhon
- Vertigo
Each of these Valorplates are based on a different Zodiac sign. So, the Zodiac system determines classes, and perks and abilities.
For now, these are all the classes available, but there is a big chance that we might see more plates being added in the future.
Valorplate Characteristics
- Might:
This characteristic resembles your damage per second. An interesting way to look at it is by thinking of it as your attack power and attack speed!
- Spirit:
The higher the spirit you have, the lower cooldowns you have and the more damage from your unique damage abilities.
- Vitality:
Vitality is basically how tanky you are, i.e. how much health you have and how much damage you will take.
Passive and Arcane Ability
Each Valorplate will come different passive and arcane ability. The passive is self-explanatory and each class will get one.
However, the arcane ability is far more interesting. You can look at this ability as your ultimate ability. Based on which Valorplate you play, each one is unique to the other.
How to Unlock Valorplates
To learn more about Valorplates and which fit your playstyle and gameplay, go to your Sanctum where all of the Valorplates are displayed.
Here you can learn more about the classes, and also learn which stuff you need to get before you can get that class.
Usually, Valorplates in Godfall require at least 5 valor cores, and also some other resources from the world of Godfall. Most will be very difficult to get, but the best way to do so is by doing missions and exploring.
Unfortunately, there is no quick way of unlocking classes. You must grind as much as possible and finish as many missions as you can!
How to Customize Armor
Interestingly, there isn’t much room for customization in Godfall. I mean, there are certain things you can change like color and stats, but other than that, the armor can’t really be customized.
However, at least, it’s good to know that you can equip different armor pieces. For example, if you like the aesthetic of a helmet, you can equip it with other armor and vice versa.
In the future we might expect patches and updates which will introduce much more customizability options, but until then color is technically all we can change!
