Learn how to complete the Uncalculated Risk Mission in GTA 5!
Dom Beasley is an ultra-competitive individual and a sucker for all things high-risk. After Franklin saves him from being stuck in a tree, he brings Franklin along for a free skydiving session at Mount Chiliad. Since then, the pair has gone on other skydiving sessions around Los Santos, but things took a turn for the worse when Franklin beat Dom in their last outing.
Uncalculated Risk is the last mission involving Dom Beasley and Franklin Clinton. We have outlined everything you need to know about Uncalculated Risk and how you can get a Gold Medal for completing the mission in GTA 5.
Uncalculated Risk Synopsis
When Dom and Franklin went skydiving off of Maze Bank Tower, the plan was to parachute down and land on the back of a Flatbed truck. Franklin makes the jump, parachutes down, and lands clean on the Flatbed, while Dom, for some reason, fails to hit the mark.
The pair meet up at an auto repair shop downtown, but when Dom arrives, he looks visibly frustrated and mad at Franklin for beating him. To redeem himself, Dom challenges Franklin to a showdown at the Land Act Reservoir.
When Franklin arrives at the Land Act Reservoir, he encounters the same dog that spoke to him the first time he and Dom met. The dog explains to Franklin what he saw Dom doing in the area. Franklin immediately makes his way to Dom’s location and finds the hedge fund manager standing off the edge of the barrier.
Franklin knows what Dom is about to do but asks him the question anyway. Dom assures Franklin that what he is about to do is perfectly safe.
Dom jumps off the edge without a parachute and lands in the water face-first at the bottom of the dam. The shallow water meant there wasn’t much between Dom and the water, and Dom died instantly after landing.

- Leap of Faith: Also jump from the Land Act Dam and land.
All Gold Medal objectives for this mission can be completed through multiple replays. You can come back another time and replay the mission to get the rest of the Gold Medal objectives.
Uncalculated Risk Mission Guide
Run to Dom’s location marked blue on the map.
After Dom’s jump, pick up the parachute he left behind, then parachute down to his location to get the Leap of Faith Gold Medal objective.
Just A Step Too Far
Franklin knew Dom pushed the limit of what was possible with the human amygdala. However, there is always a fine line between bravery and stupidity, and unfortunately, Dom chose to be stupid in their last high-risk outing.
Of all the Dom Beasley missions in GTA 5, Uncalculated Risk is the shortest and easiest mission to get a Gold Medal on. After Dom jumps to his demise, parachuting down the Dam and landing safely will get you the Leap of Faith Gold Medal objective.
