You can have up to four characters in your party in Baldur’s Gate. To level them up you need to do quests, interactions, eliminate enemies, and explore the world.
You can get experience in the above-mentioned ways, and probably a million others. But it doesn’t automatically level up your character once you reach full EXP on that particular one.
So, that’s why we will show you how to level up characters in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Baldur’s Gate 3 – How to Level Up Characters
Unfortunately, the game doesn’t have that clear instructions on how to do certain tasks in-game. It’s not that bad for players who have played other Laurien Studios games, since there are close similarities.
However, most new players will struggle because this is a very unique RPG, with not well-known mechanics and gameplay.
With that being said, this is how to level up characters in Baldur’s Gate 3:
- Once your character reaches max experience, in the down left corner of the screen you can see a little plus on your character’s picture.
- After you click that plus, a new screen will appear. On the right side of the screen you can customize which skills and spells to get.
- Now, you can level up your character by clicking the accept button on the left side of the screen.
Congratulations, you have successfully leveled up your character to the next rank!
This system is interesting because it gives you the possibility to choose which spells to get before leveling up. Unlike other games, where the spell roster is static, you can make pretty exciting builds this way. Good luck!
