LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga may have been delayed multiple times, but the game finally launched this month, and it looks like it is doing great.
As per GamesIndustry.biz, GfK is reporting that the LEGO Star Wars reboot has become the biggest launch for a LEGO game in the UK, beating out the previous winner, LEGO Indiana Jones from 2008.
Not counting digital sales, The Skywalker Saga has become the second fastest-selling game of the year (first place goes to Pokemon Legends: Arceus). Even if it is second place, it still beats huge titles like Horizon Forbidden West and the critically-acclaimed Elden Ring.
Seeing that we have not even gotten past one month of the game’s release, we can only expect numbers to remain strong over the next few weeks. Skywalker Saga even managed to put the highly-anticipated Kirby and the Forgotten Land in second place when it came to sales.
For now, LSW: TSS is getting a lot of great buzz from fans, and reviews have said that the title is great for both men and women and children. This should keep Star Wars fans hyped for the franchise until the Obi-Wan Kenobi series premieres on Disney+ this May.
