If you thought the story ended with the thrilling conclusion of Maneater, you were wrong. The story continues with Maneater: Truth Quest, coming to all platforms this summer.
Tripwire Interactive has announced today that Maneater will be getting some DLC later this year in the form of Maneater: Truth Quest, and it’s about as daft as you could imagine.
Maneater: Truth Quest continues where Maneater finished, but this time the story is taking some dark and unusual twists with conspiracies about Port Clovis and the Naval Wildlife Organization being front and centre in this tale.
Tales of man-eating sharks with armour and powers that wouldn’t seem strange in an X-Men movie have been disregarded as fisherman’s tales. Conspiracy theorists have solved the case with evidence of the supershark and other strange creates lurking in the waters, prompting claims of a Government coverup, and spurring theorists to prove their claims as true.
“The team has been hard at work on Maneater: Truth Quest and we’re excited to announce the first details on the downloadable content that so many fans have been asking for,” said Sean McBride, Creative Director at Tripwire Interactive. “We’re aiming to give players more of what they loved from the original Maneater, with the ability to grow bigger, explore an entirely new region off the coast of Port Clovis, and evolve further tools of destruction. Inspired by Scaly Pete’s father’s tales of ‘Gub’ment Experiments’, we pick up where we left off and join Trip Westhaven and the shark’s journey down the rabbit hole of conspiracy and military cover-ups as you eat, explore and evolve through these uncharted waters.”
The DLC includes two new episodes as well as a new region to cause mayhem in. New evolutions, challenges, wildlife and more are part of the package, as well as a new level cap which has been increased to 40.

The Maneater: Truth Quest DLC will require the base game, Maneater, to play — and will be available for $14.99 / €14.99 / £12.99 MSRP with an ESRB rating of M for Mature, PEGI 18 rating, and USK 16 rating.
