Netflix just launched the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime, and with it, CDPR has also launched an update in the Cyberpunk game that brings in elements from the Netflix show.
To promote the launch of both materials, we have a new trailer that’s cross-promoting both the new anime as well as the DLC that it inspired. Check this out:
With this update we focused on bringing various fixes and improvements, as well as adding new Edgerunners-inspired content to the game – including new missions, clothing, and weapons.
Though Studio Trigger has decided to give Cyberpunk: Edgerunners its signature stylized look, there are still a lot of elements in the show that have been lifted directly from the game, from specific locations to certain characters.
Admittedly, Cyberpunk has not been able to shake off the press from its disastrous launch, but a lot of people still have faith in the IP. If anything, Night City is such a sprawling character in itself that fans and various other creators have a lot of room to play in the franchise, and maybe this anime is just the beginning.
What are the odds that Netflix wants to make a live-action series featuring Keanu Reeves?
