Nvidia eGPU: How to Fix Code 43 Error

Those that are using eGPUs or more specifically, external graphics cards, might have come across the error code 43. This is a specific Nvidia-only error, and it occurs due to some compatibility issues between the graphics card itself, and the system. External GPUs are those which are plugged in to the computer with some sort of a cable adapter or attachment mod. Today, we will show you how to fix error code 43!

How to Fix Code 43 Error – Nvidia eGPU

Before starting out, it is important to note that this fix won’t work for all graphics cards. Its compatibility is limited to only a handful of GPUs, but if yours isn’t on your list, it doesn’t hurt to try it out anyways. Here are the supported GPUs:

RTX 3060, 3060Ti, 3070, 3080, 3090;
RTX 2060, 2060S, 2070, 2070S, 2080, 2080S, 2080Ti, Titan V & Titan RTX;
All GPUs from GTX 1050 to GTX 1660Ti lineup;
GTX 950 to 980Ti

Here is how to fix the error code 43 if you use Nvidia eGPU, and it is supported by the script:

Go to the official script/fix download website.
Make an account or login to download the file.
Once downloaded, extract it in a folder somewhere.
Open the folder, find ‘Nvidia Error Code 43 Fixer.bat’ and right-click it.
Run it as administrator, and follow the instructions in the console to fix the error.

Error code 43 is common among all eGPUs from Nvidia. The reason for this is because these GPUs aren’t particularly made to run through adapters and mods, but once the right compatibility settings are tweaked on the GPU itself, it can run smoothly.
