A lot of fans are wondering just what changes will come to Overwatch 2 when the game launches for free, and a recent survey leak has fans worrying if skins will be worth as much as USD 45.
The controversy started with this information from the survey:
Now Blizzard has released a statement to IGN confirming that the prices in the survey aren’t final. The statement reads:
“This survey is entirely intended to better understand player preferences for different types of Overwatch 2 cosmetics. Prices displayed in the survey were randomized per user and are not indicative of final pricing. We plan to share details on our Shop and Battle Pass system closer to our Oct. 4 launch.”
Despite being one of the most popular games to launch back in 2016, Overwatch has seen a decline in interest. We don’t know the specific reasons people have stopped picking up the game, but a lot of players have been turned off by several changes, including the game’s more controlling way of choosing characters, as well as the wickedly long wait times.
Hopefully Overwatch 2 is being developed with longevity in mind. I mean, if Fortnite can manage to keep going this long, I’m sure the devs over at Blizzard can figure something out. I mean, the gameplay is still solid, and the waifus are still top-tier.
Overwatch 2 is expected to launch for free this Oct. 4 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 4|5, and Nintendo Switch.
