Overwatch 2 is only a few weeks old, but Blizzard has officially revealed a new incoming hero for this December.

Overwatch 2 Reveals New Omnic Character Ramattra

Have a first look at Ramattra, or as I would like to call him, Evil Zenyatta. Watch this:

Here’s the short description:

The leader of Null Sector is on a mission to create a better world for Omnics… no matter what it takes.

We don’t have much details on Ramattra’s skillset, but it’s said that he will be a new tank in the game who will switch between a ‘Omnic’ form and ‘Nemesis’ form. While the Omnic form is more on shielding and protecting comrades, the Nemesis form is said to transform Ramattra into a bigger bruiser capable of dealing major damage, but it will make him a bigger target for enemies.

Though the conflict in the lore has always been between Overwatch and Talon, it’s interesting to see someone represent the third faction which is Null Sector. Despite all its colourful characters, some fans can forget that there was some kind of Terminator-level war between humans and machines, and it’s going to be interesting to see someone represent that side of the conflict besides the peace-loving Zenyatta.

Though characters like Kiriko have come free for players who owned the first Overwatch, Ramattra will now have to be unlocked via the Battle Pass again. I mean, there still isn’t a way to earn any other cosmetics without spending actual money, but I’m hoping Blizzard addresses the issue soon.

Ramattra launches for Overwatch on Dec. 6. Overwatch 2 is currently playable for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4|5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
