Blizzard had been very quiet when it came to their reveals for Overwatch 2, but new game director Aaron Keller has promised that we’ll be getting more updates moving forward. Just in, we now have the gameplay reveal for incoming character Sojourn.

Overwatch: Sojourn Gameplay Officially Revealed

Check out the new hero from the Great White North:

Heroes aren’t born, they’re made.

See Sojourn power up her Railgun and disrupt the battlefield!

As speculated by some players, Sojourn will be a DPS hero, and she’ll be able to traverse the battlefield with her cybernetic enhancements. We can see that she has a dash that will allow her to shoot at enemies low while moving, and she also has an alternate fire that looks to have an emphasis on crowd control like Zarya and Orisa.

While there are some fans who would have loved to get their go at Sojourn in the first Overwatch game, it looks like she’ll be an exclusive for the sequel, which is yet to have a release date. If it’s any consolation, all the characters from the first game are expected to make a return in the sequel, albeit, they’ll all be reworked for the new iteration.

As per Polygon, closed beta testing for Sojourn will launch on April 26. Hopefully we can get an open beta soon after that, and maybe the release window for Overwatch 2.

We don’t know when Blizzard plans to launch Overwatch 2 yet, but you can play the original Overwatch now on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
