Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in the early days of the Pokemon universe when people and Pokemon did not get along.
This game is set in the Hisui region of the Pokemon world, later known as Sinnoh. To complete Hisui’s first Pokédex, which is used to learn about Pokemon, the player must capture each Pokémon in this region.
The player will be part of the Survey Corps of the Galaxy Expedition Team in Jubilife Village (also called the Galaxy Team). This Survey Corps is in charge of investigating the local Pokémon.
In this guide, we will learn everything you need to know about Bidoof!
Bidoof
Bidoof, the tenth Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is a Normal type Plump Mouse Pokemon that has a brown body that looks like that of a rodent’s, short, dark brown snout, a pair of tiny black eyes, light brown markings on the top half of its face, a small red nose, two large teeth protruding from its upper jaw, round tufts on both sides of its face, a pair of round ears, a light brown underside, four short legs with each paw colored black and with three toes with webbing in between them. Bidoof has a frank face and is hardly bothered by anything.
According to its Pokedex entry in the game, There have been cases of Bidoof strolling into communities and nibbling on the houses carelessly.
Basic Information
Bidoof is a Normal type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Fighting type moves (super effective) and an immunity to Ghost type moves (no effect).
Bidoof’s base stats are 59 HP, 45 Attack, 40 Defense, 35 Special Attack, 40 Special Defense, and 31 Speed for 250.
Bidoof will evolve into a Bibarel when it reaches Level 15.
If the player wants to try to lure Bidoof with food before catching it, then it is worth noting Bidoof prefers Hearty Grains, Springy Mushrooms, and Plump Beans.
If a Bidoof is captured or defeated, the player will receive a Spoiled Apricorn and an Oran Berry.
Location
Bidoof can be found in the following locations:
Obsidian Fieldlands: in Aspiration HIll, around Horseshoe Plains, and on land around Tidewater Dam.
Crimson Mirelands: around Gapejaw Bog, north of Ursa’s Ring, and in Droning Meadow.
Alabaster Icelands: in the east and west of Avalugg’s Legacy.
Bidoof can be found in the locations mentioned above at all times of the day and in every weather condition.
Aside from that, the player can find Bidoof in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Obsidian Fieldlands and the Alabaster Icelands.
Research Tasks
The following are the Research Tasks in Bidoof’s Pokedex entry:
Multiplier | Research Task | Objectives |
x2 | Number caught | 1/3/6/12/25 |
Number of heavy specimens you’ve caught | 1/2/3/5/7
Number defeated | 1/2/4/10/15
Number of different forms you’ve obtained | 2
x2 | Number you’ve evolved | 1 |
x2 | Investigated the Bidoof that bothers the village | 1 |
The player must accomplish an objective for a certain Research Task to boost a Bidoof’s Research Level by one, except for Research Tasks with an x2 multiplier, which increases two Research Levels for finishing one objective. The player must achieve Research Level 10 to finish Bidoof’s Pokedex entry.
To quickly complete Bidoof’s Pokedex entry, the player can catch six Bidoofs, which ticks the first, second, and third objective of the ‘number caught’ Research Task, which has an x2 multiplier.
Hence, it immediately raises the Research Level to 6; make sure that at least one of those Bidoofs is a male and a female, which ticks the ‘number of different forms you have obtained’ Research Task.
Hence, it raises the Research Level to 7, then defeat four more Bidoofs, which ticks the first, second, and third objective of the ‘number defeated’ Research Task to reach Research Level 10.

Relevant Request
One of Bidoof’s Research Tasks is to investigate the Bidoof that is bothering the village. This Research Task can be ticked by completing Request 8, called “Bothersome Bidoof.”
The player can unlock this request after visiting the Training Grounds for the first time and win the Pokemon battle against Akari or Rei during the “Request from Mai” mission.
To begin the Bothersome Bidoof Request, enter the Galaxy Hall and continue to Professor Laventon’s room, which is on the left side of Captain Cyntelle’s office.
The player will find a blackboard directly behind Professor Laventon with a few requests that the player can accept. Read what’s on the chalkboard and choose the ‘Bothersome Bidoof ‘ request.
After that, proceed to Jubilife Village’s front gate and search for a guard named Tsumugi to the left of the gate.
When talking to her, she will mistakenly let three Bidoofs enter the town, so she will ask the player’s help to find the Bidoofs.
Next, add a Bidoof to the player’s party by catching or moving one from the Pastures. Now, it is time to find the Bothersome Bidoofs.
One of the Bidoofs is located in the southeastern section of Jubilife Village, near the end of the Village Pastures fence.
The Bidoof can be found near a tree and facing the fence. Approach the Bidoof, and a cutscene will occur in which the player will toss out the player’s Bidoof and bond with the bothersome one.
After that, another Bidoof can be found on the right side of the Galaxy Hall near the first house on the right. Go near it, and a cutscene will play where your character will throw out your Bidoof and bond with this other bothersome one.
Finally, the final bothersome Bidoof is located in the southwest part of the village behind the row of houses on the left side.
This final Bidoof is near the house next to the fence. Approach this Bidoof, and a cutscene will play where your character will throw out your Bidoof again and let it bond with this final bothersome one.
After completing this request, the player will receive one Rare Candy, which can raise the level of one of the player’s Pokemon by one level.
Now that the player has a Bidoof and is familiar with its features, the player can try to use it to fulfill requests, missions, or Arceus’ task for the player, which is to catch ’em all!
