The main character of Pokemon Legends: Arceus is positioned in the Hisui region, which will eventually be renamed the Sinnoh region within the Pokemon world. In the game, the player will become a part of the Galaxy Expedition Team, particularly the Survey Corps, whose primary duty is to examine every type of Pokemon inhabiting the Hisui region. To thoroughly understand these Pokemon, players must catch every species in the region and complete the first-ever Hisuian Pokedex.

Ultimate Pokémon Legends: Arceus Vaporeon Guide

This guide will discuss everything you need to know about Vaporeon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus!

Vaporeon

Vaporeon, the 26th Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is a Water-type Bubble Jet Pokemon with a light blue body, a dark blue marking on top of its head that connects to its dark blue spiky ridges on its spine, a pair of black eyes with white pupils, a small black nose, a small mouth, three cream-colored fins on its head with two of them on both sides of its head that make it look like ears and one of them on top of its head that make it look like a dorsal fin, a white fin around its neck, four legs with three toes on each of its paws, and a long tail with a split tail fin on its tips that looks like that of a mermaid’s.

According to its Pokedex entry, tests were done, and it showed that Vaporeon’s cells resemble water molecules which would explain its ability to hide when it is underwater. Additionally, it is believed that the mermaid folklore originated from this Pokemon.

Basic Information

Vaporeon is a Water-type Pokemon meaning it is weak (super effective) to Electric-type and Grass-type moves and resistant (not very effective) to Fire-type, Ice-type, Steel-type, and Water-type moves.

Vaporeon’s base stats are 130 HP, 65 Attack, 60 Defense, 110 Special Attack, 95 Special Defense, and 65 Speed, for a total of 525.

Vaporeon evolved from an Eevee by using a Water Stone.

Eevee can also evolve into a Flareon by using a Fire Stone, a Jolteon by using a Thunder Stone, a Glaceon when near the Ice Rock or by using an Ice Stone, a Leafeon when near the Moss Rock or by using a Leaf Stone, an Umbreon when it reached a High Friendship Level and evolved during the night (without knowing any Fairy-type moves),  an Espeon when it reaches a High Friendship Level and evolves during the day (without knowing any Fairy-type moves), and a Sylveon when it reaches a High Friendship Level while knowing a Fairy-type move.

Luring it with food like Springy Mushroom, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans is recommended, as this Pokemon particularly likes these foods.

Upon successfully capturing or defeating a wild Vaporeon, the Vaporeon will drop a Razz Berry and a Vivichoke, which the player will obtain.

Location

Unfortunately, Vaporeon cannot be found anywhere in the wild under normal circumstances. In rare cases, Vaporeon can appear inside Space-Time Distortions in the Cobalt Coastlands.

Research Tasks

The following are the Research Tasks in Vaporeon’s Pokedex entry in Pokemon Legends: Arceus:

MultiplierResearch TaskObjectives
x2Number caught1/2/3/4/5
Times you have seen it use Baby-Doll Eyes1/2/4/10/15
x2Times you have seen it use Aqua Tail1/3/8/20/40
x2Times you have seen it use an agile style move1/3/10/30/70

To fully complete a Pokemon’s entry in the Pokedex, it is necessary to reach Research Level 10. To reach this level, a player needs to complete an objective from the Research Tasks list, which will increase the Research Level. If the player accomplishes a Research Task objective that has an x2 multiplier, on the other hand, the Pokemon’s entry will gain two Research Levels instead of only one.

To quickly complete Vaporeon’s Pokedex entry, the player can catch one by evolving an Eevee using a Water Stone, which will tick the first objective of the “Number caught” Research Task to gain 2 Research Levels thanks to its x2 multiplier, then use it in battle and use Aqua Tail in Agile Style three times, which will tick the first and second objectives of the “Times you have seen it use Aqua Tail” and the “Times you have seen it use an agile style move” Research Tasks to add 8 Research Levels thanks to both of their x2 multipliers, to reach Research Level 10.
