A chance encounter with Maggie Murdock (Anne Hathaway), a free-spirited Parkinson’s patient, leads to a sexual relationship. As Jamie and Maggie become closer, each must question if a serious commitment is in their future.

Lisa Jorgenson’s (Reese Witherspoon) entire life has been defined by softball, but at 31, she is deemed too old to play and cut from the team. After being cast adrift, she begins a fling with Matty (Owen Wilson), a charming womanizer who plays professional baseball. About the same time, she goes on a blind date with George (Paul Rudd), a businessman on the hook for stock fraud. Caught in a romantic triangle with the two men, Lisa ponders the meaning of love.

 

Friends with Benefits(2011)

Jamie (Mila Kunis) is a New York-based executive recruiter who entices Dylan (Justin Timberlake), an art director from Los Angeles, to take a job at the New York office of GQ magazine. Finding that they have much in common, the two become fast friends. Feeling jaded by a number of broken romances, Dylan and Jamie decide that they are ready to quit looking for true love and focus on having fun. However, complications unfold when the two best pals add sex to their relationship.

Ramifications of the liaison threaten to destroy the women’s lifelong friendship, while Ethan (John Krasinski), Rachel’s confidant, harbors a potentially explosive secret of his own.

 

Going the Distance(2010)

Erin (Drew Barrymore) and Garrett (Justin Long) are very much in love. When Erin moves to San Francisco to finish her journalism degree and Garrett stays behind in New York to work in the music industry, they gamely keep the romance alive with webcams and frequent-flyer miles. But just when it seems the lovers will soon be reunited, they each score a big break that could separate them for good.

 

The Change-Up(2011)

Once inseparable pals, Dave (Jason Bateman) and Mitch (Ryan Reynolds) have drifted apart over the years. Dave is an overworked lawyer and family man, while Mitch has thus far avoided most of the normal responsibilities of adulthood. Each is envious of the other’s life, and following a drunken binge, the men awake to find they have somehow switched bodies. Dave and Mitch soon discover that things are not as rosy as they seemed and try to find a way to return their lives to normal.

Neurotic Wally Mars (Jason Bateman) has one bright spot in his life: his friendship with Kassie (Jennifer Aniston). When Kassie announces her intention to become pregnant using a sperm donor, Wally thinks he will be the lucky guy, but Kassie has someone else in mind. While drunk at Kassie’s insemination party, Wally substitutes his sperm for the donor’s, then passes out, remembering nothing. Seven years later, Wally meets Kassie’s son, who seems oddly familiar to him.

 

The Rebound(2012)

A housewife and mother of two, Sandy (Catherine Zeta-Jones), discovers that her husband has been unfaithful. After a hasty divorce, she moves to New York City with her young son and daughter. There, they begin a new life. Sandy rents an apartment above a coffee house and befriends one of the baristas, Aram Finklestein (Justin Bartha). At age 25, Aram is not sure what he wants to do with his life having just separated (his wife was a French woman who married him for a green card). Despite having a college degree, he is aimless and gets a job at a women’s center. During a self-defense class at the women’s center where Aram plays the perpetrator, Sandy unleashes an “ocean of anger” on him. The next day, she goes to the coffeeshop to apologize to him and asks him to babysit her kids. He becomes a full-time nanny for the family and develops a close-knit relationship with the children; and a chemistry starts to brew between Aram and Sandy, ensuing in an awkward sexual encounter that the children come to know about.

 

Life as We Know It(2010)

After a disastrous first date, the only things Holly Berenson (Katherine Heigl) and Eric Messer (Josh Duhamel) have in common are mutual dislike and their love for their goddaughter, Sophie. When they unexpectedly become her caretakers, Holly and Eric have to put aside their differences and learn to work together for the sake of the child. Juggling competing career and social commitments, Holly and Eric look for common ground while living under the same roof.

 

The Back-Up Plan(2010)

Tired of waiting for Mr. Right while her biological clock ticks away, Zoe (Jennifer Lopez) decides it’s time to make an appointment at the sperm bank. On the same day as her procedure, she meets Stan (Alex O’Loughlin), a man with the potential to be her ideal mate. When Stan learns that Zoe’s unpredictable behavior is the result of her pregnancy, he declares his commitment. As the due date approaches, both lovers realize that they really don’t know each other without a baby in the picture.
