Street Fighter V had come out back in 2016, and marking the 35th Anniversary of the legendary fighting game, Capcom has announced the next level of the Street Fighter franchise.
Here’s the official announce for Street Fighter 6:
While fans all know and love Ryu, the teaser also includes Luke, the final character to enter the SFV roster, who was said to be coming to the sequel. We don’t know who else could be coming with the next iteration of Street Fighter, but seeing as the last iteration came with a bunch of new faces, we could be getting the same for this upcoming sequel.
Along with the announcement of Street Fighter 6, Capcom has also revealed the Capcom Fighting Collection, an anthology of over 10 fighting game titles from the studio. Besides Street Fighter, the collection includes the complete Darkstalkers series as well as titles like Red Earth and Cyberbots. You even get to play the cute chibi SF characters with Puzzle Fighter and Gem Fighter.
Admittedly, Street Fighter V wasn’t able to build up the hype when it came to its release, but the title managed to get better ratings when the expansions came in. Hopefully when it comes to SF6, we have a title that fans will immediately love, as compared to something that needed some more DLCs to complete the experience.

No release date has been announced for Street Fighter 6, but the Capcom Fighting Collection is set to release for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on June 24, 2022.
