It was announced in the official WoW blog that we would be getting a reveal for World of Warcraft Mobile later this May. Now Blizzard has dropped a specific release date, and it looks like fans won’t have to wait too long.
As per the official WoW account, the mobile Warcraft game will be revealed on May 3, 2022. Here’s the post:
As per GamingBolt, multiple Warcraft games were said to be in the works a year ago, so it’s possible that Blizzard could be gearing up to reveal multiple titles next month. While I expect a turn-based fighting game to be announced, I also wouldn’t be surprised if we had a card game—or something leaning closer to strategy.
If anything, this isn’t the only incoming Warcraft property that Blizzard is trying to get audiences hyped about. We’ve had the announce for World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic already, plus the expansion to WoW, Dragonflight which will allow players to take control of dragons and use them in the game. Granted, we haven’t gotten release dates for both, but I think it’s a safe bet to think they would all be releasing this year. Who knows, maybe we could even get an update come May during the announcement of the mobile game.
Activision Blizzard may have been sold to Microsoft, but there’s no doubt that they hold some of the most valuable IP in gaming. Hopefully there’s nowhere to go but up after this merger.
Watch out for the Warcraft Mobile reveal when it takes place on May 3.
