Warcraft may not have been the hit that everyone was hoping for, but we’re getting some more fantasy action with this month’s Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Just in, we got a new international trailer for the film, and it showcases a lot of cool magic and fantasy creatures.
Check it:
Though we’ve see clips of the talking corpse before, the new trailer does give us a look at a lot more powers that Justice Smith’s character Simon has, like conjuring portals. It also looks like we’re going to be seeing a lot of magic items and weapons, like the one Rege-Jen Page’s Xenk wields.
Surprisingly enough, Chris Pine’s Edgin is touted as the main character of the story, but we barely get to see a lot of his abilities. We know that he’s the party’s bard, but we don’t really get to see him do any ‘bard’ things in the trailers. Even Scanlan from Vox Machina had his own magic abilities.
So far, the film looks like good fun, and it should encourage a lot more people to try out the game if it does its job right.
A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is set to release in theaters on March 31.
