Instead of tackling Pokemon Gyms and ultimately achieving a Champion rank in a specific region like in the mainline Pokemon games, the player in Pokemon Legends: Arceus will be joining the Galaxy Expedition Team, frequently referred to as the Galaxy Team, as a vital member of the Survey Corps to learn more about the Pokemon found in the Hisui region.
One of the game’s main objectives for the player is to complete the Pokedex by capturing and learning about each species of Pokemon in the region.
This guide will discuss everything you need to know about Aipom in Pokemon Legends: Arceus!
Aipom
Aipom, the 78th Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is a Normal-type Long Tail Pokemon with a purple body resembling a monkey. This large, light brown, round-tipped tail looks like a hand with three fingers, a tuft of fur on top of its head, a light brown face, a pair of wide eyes with black irises, a wide mouth, a pair of purple, stubby arms, a light brown circular marking on its belly, a pair of legs with light brown feet. According to its Pokedex entry in the game, Aipom lives on trees and has a tail that is as dextrous as a hand. Also, it says that ancient writings describe Aipom as a one-armed oddity.
Basic Information
Aipom is a Normal-type Pokemon, so it is weak (super effective) to Fighting-type moves and immune (no effect) to Ghost-type moves.
Aipom’s base stats are 55 HP, 70 Attack, 55 Defense, 40 Special Attack, 55 Special Defense, and 85 Speed for a total 360.
Aipom can evolve to an Ambipom after the Aipom learns to move Double Hit.
Springy Mushrooms, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans are favorites of Aipom. They can distract it before catching, battling, or feeding it food.
When an Aipom is defeated or captured in the wild, a Nanab Berry and a Ball of Mud are dropped.
Location
The player can find an Aipom in the following areas:
In the Obsidian Fieldlands: in Ramanas Island.
The Cobalt Coastlands: Aipom Hill and Hideaway Bay.
In the Alabaster Icelands: Whiteout Valley, Glacier Terrace, and Heart’s Crag.
Aipom can be found in the locations mentioned at all times of the day and in every weather condition.
Aipom may also be found in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Cobalt Coastlands, the Alabaster Icelands, and inside Space-Time Distortions.
Research Tasks
The following are the Research Tasks in Aipom’s Pokedex entry in Pokemon Legends: Arceus:

To quickly complete Aipom’s Pokedex entry, the player can feed an Aipom food or berries eight times and catch one. Then you can defeat two Aipoms using Fighting-type moves. Doing these will tick the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth objective of the “Times you have given it food” Research Task to raise five Research Levels, tick the first objective of the “Number caught” Research Task to add two Research Levels thanks to its x2 multiplier, tick the first objective of the “Number defeated” Research Task to add one Research Level, and tick the first and second objective of the “Number you have defeated with Fighting-type moves” Research Task to add two more Research Levels to reach Research Level 10.
