In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, the player will become part of the Galaxy Expedition Team, referred to as the Galaxy Team, as an important member of the Survey Corps to learn more about the Pokemon found in the Hisui region.
One of the player’s main goals is to catch every species of Pokemon to complete the Hisui Pokedex. To double down on that, the all-powerful Arceus also orders the player to meet every Pokemon in the area. As a result, the player must be familiar with all of the Pokemon found in the Hisui region.
This guide will discuss everything you need to know about Cherubi in Pokemon Legends: Arceus!
Cherubi
Cherubi, the 66th Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is a Grass-type Cherry Pokemon with a pink, round body that looks like a cherry, a pair of dark pink eyes with white pupils, a small mouth, a dark pink stripe on its forehead, a short stem with two green leaves on top of its head that has another smaller, round, also pink head with its pair of small, closed eyes and mouth growing out of one of the leaves, and a pair of short, stubby feet.
According to its Pokedex entry in the game, Cherubi will use the nutrients of the fruit growing alongside it to evolve once it is large and plump. Then, the fruit will detach from its body, which can nourish other creatures.
Basic Information
Cherubi is a Grass-type Pokemon, so it is weak (super effective) to the Bug-type, Fire-type, Flying-type, Ice-type, and Poison-type moves and resistant (not very effective) to Electric-type, Grass-type, Ground-type, and Water-type moves.
Cherubi’s base stats are 45 HP, 35 Attack, 45 Defense, 62 Special Attack, 53 Special Defense, and 35 Speed.
Cherubi can be evolved to a Cherrim when it reaches Level 25.
Cherubi prefers Springy Mushrooms, Dazzling Honey, and Crunchy Salts, which serve as great lures before capturing, battling, or feeding Cherubi.
When a Cherubi is taken out or caught in the wild, it drops a Vivichoke and a Lum Berry.
Location
Although quite rare, the player may find Cherubi in shaking trees in the following locations:
Shaking trees in the Obsidian Fieldlands: southwest of The Heartwood.
Southwest of Gapejaw Bog: Shaking trees in the Crimson Mirelands
Shaking trees in the Coronet Highlands: Lonely Spring, Primeval Grotto, and northeast of Fabled Spring.
Cherubi can be found in the mentioned locations at all times of day and in every weather condition.
Research Tasks
The following are the Research Tasks in Cherubi’s Pokedex entry in Pokemon Legends: Arceus:
Multiplier | Research Task | Objectives |
x2 | Number caught | 1/2/4/5/10 |
Number defeated | 1/2/3/4/5
Times you have seen it use Absorb | 1/3/8/20/40
Number you have seen leap out of trees | 1/2/4/10/15
x2 | Number you have evolved | 1 |
When a Pokemon reaches Research Level 10, its Pokedex entry is complete. Should one of the objectives of a Research Task be accomplished, the Research Level of a Pokedex entry increases by one level. After achieving an objective of an x2 Research Task, the Pokedex entry gets two Research Levels instead of one. Furthermore, the player earns Research Points for completing Research Tasks and Pokedex entries. It can boost the player’s Star Rank in the Galaxy Team if sufficient.

To quickly complete Cherubi’s Pokedex entry, the player can catch four Cherubis from shaking trees, then use one in battle and Absorb once. Doing these will tick the first, second, and third objectives of the “Number caught” Research Task. Tick the first, second, and third objectives of the “Number you have seen leap out of trees” Research Task. Then tick the first objective of the “Times you have seen it use Absorb” Research Task.
