Chasing thieves out in the countryside.
You are usually the one running from cops or enemies in GTA 5, not the other way around. But in Chase Thieves Country, you’ll find yourself chasing down Lost MC members to retrieve stolen money from two different victims from two specific locations in the game.
This quick guide outlines everything you need to know about the Chase Thieves Country Random Event in GTA 5.
What is the Chase Thieves Country Random Event in GTA 5?
Chase Thieves Country is a variation of the Chase Thieves City Random Event in GTA 5. Like the City version of Chase Thieves Random Event, Chase Thieves Country involves Trevor’s favorite biker gang, The Lost MC, and a random victim from whom they have stolen money.
There are two Chase Thieves Country Random Events in GTA 5. In both Random Events, you must stop Lost MC members from getting away with stolen money, retrieve the stolen wallet/cash, and then bring them back to the victim.
The location for both events and the rewards will vary. This Random Event is available for Franklin, Michael, and Trevor.
Chase Thieves Country Random Event Location
There are two locations in the Chase Thieves Country Random Event – Grapeseed and Route 68.
The first one is north of Sandy Shores at the north-western part of Grapeseed. You should spot a black Lost MC van trying to escape quickly after they take the poor victim’s money.
The second Chase Thieves Country Random Event is at Route 68, South of Sandy Shores. Like the first one, you should spot a black Lost MC van next to a discount store.
How to complete the Chase Thieves Country Random Event
You will spot a red dot on the map telling you the Random Event is available. Get ready to spring into action, as the Lost MC will make a run for it in their van as soon as you arrive in the area.

Do not prolong the chase in Chase Thieves Country 1, or you’ll likely attract the police’s attention. Instead, shoot at the van’s driver or tires to force the other members to get out of the van and face you in a shootout. Take out all the Lost MC members to complete Chase Thieves Country 1.
After you take down the first few Lost MC members in Chase Thieves Country 2, a few more will arrive in the area as backup. Taking down the rest of the Lost MC members should be easy, especially if you’re playing as Michael or Trevor. Simply turn on either character’s special abilities to make quick work of the remaining Lost MC members.
Retrieve the stolen money, then return it to each victim to complete Chase Thieves Country 1 and 2.
Chase Thieves Country Random Event Rewards
You will receive various cash rewards for completing Chase Thieves Country 1 and 2.
In Chase Thieves Country 1, you will get a $25 reward for giving back the money to the victim. You will also get a full special skill bar recharge for completing the Random Event.
In Chase Thieves Country 2, you will get $12 after you give the money back and a full special skill bar recharge.
Alternatively, you can just keep the stolen money for yourself. You will get $250 for keeping the stolen money in Chase Thieves Country 1 and $25 in Chase Thieves Country 2.
You will also be able to check off 2 Random Events from the 14 required to get 100% completion in GTA 5 by completing both Chase Thieves Country Random Events.
Chasing Crooks at the Countryside
Chase Thieves Country is similar to the Chase Thieves City Random Event in GTA 5. The only difference is the location where the Random Event spawns in-game.
That said, you can easily complete the Chase Thieves County Random Event by shooting down the Lost MC’s van driver as soon as you arrive in the area or by blowing up the van’s tires to force the Lost MC members to come out and engage you in a gunfight.
After you retrieve the stolen goods, you can either return it to the victim or keep it for yourself. The choice is yours!
