Xinyan is the only rock ‘n’ roll musician in Liyue and is pioneering the art that originated in Fontaine. Every night, she plays her self-built instrument and performs her self-composed songs on her self-constructed stage to enthusiastic supporters.
Xinyan never fit in Liyue Harbor and only found her place when she encountered rock ‘n’ roll. Despite the Geo Nation not being a place for this kind of music, Xinyan felt she needed to attract enough attention. After thinking of ways to light the flames of rock ‘n’ roll in Liyue Harbor, Xinyan experimented with fire to move people, adding sparks and explosions to her music.
After burning her fingers and blowing up her instruments countless times, perhaps the gods found great potential in a new form of music that would soon grace the seven nations and granted Xinyan with a Pyro Vision. She would use her Vision to spew flames and sparks during her performances to lift people’s moods and inspire them.

How to Get Xinyan
Xinyan is a 4-star character added as a permanent 4-star item in all wish banners. With Primogems, Acquaint Fates, and Intertwined Fates, you can wish on the Standard and Character Event Wish Banners to get this Rock N’ Roll artist. However, the best time to make wishes on the banner is when Yun Jin is one of the featured characters because by then, the rate of chance to get her will be increased.

You can choose to have one of the characters for free from the Stand by Me and Prosperous Partnership events during the Lantern Rite season celebration in Liyue. This season is Genshin Impact’s celebration of the Chinese New Year, and events with generous rewards are available.
What is Character Ascension in Genshin Impact
Each character has a certain level cap depending on their current ascension phase, and a character can be ascended to 6 phases to reach the maximum character level, which is 90. Passive talents and special ascension stats will also be unlocked when a character is ascended to specific phases.
To ascend Xinyan to the next ascension phase, you will need certain materials and the amount needed for each, which will be listed in this guide.
Mora: 420,000
Everflame Seed: 46
This material is the exposed core of a Cryo Regisvine and can only be obtained by defeating one.
Violetgrass: 168
This Liyue local specialty material is what you get when you break the outer shell of Violetgrass nodes. It can only be found at the base of cliffs and in caves and mines throughout Liyue.
Agnidus Agate
These mineral crystals can be obtained from boss enemies that manipulate the Cryo element. Boss enemies such as Cryo Regisvines, Cryo Hypostasis, Primo Geovishap, La Signora, Andrius the Dominator of Wolves, and even Azhdaha.
You can also get these from quest and commission rewards and by crafting them using the ones with lower rarity levels.
The amounts needed for each are as follows: Agnidus Agate Sliver: 1; Agnidus Agate Fragments: 9; Agnidus Agate Chunks: 9; Agnidus Agate Gemstones: 6.
Treasure Hoarder, Silver Raven, and Golden Raven Insignias
These things are signets, and insignias are badges used by members of the Treasure Hoarders to identify themselves. You can collect them by defeating Treasure Hoarders and by crafting.
The amount needed for each is as follows: Treasure Hoarder Insignia: 18; Silver Raven Insignia: 30; Golden Raven Insignia: 36.
Ascension Phase 1
This first ascension will be done after the character reaches level 20, and they cannot proceed to the next level without ascending to the next phase. The character level cap will be increased to 40.

Violetgrass – 3;
Treasure Hoarder Insignia – 3;
Unlocked Talent: “The Show Must Go On, Even Without An Audience…” (1st Passive Talent);
Ascension Phase 2
Ascension Phase 2 can be reached at character level 40 and increase the cap to 50. After this ascension, the character’s talents can now be upgraded. Xinyan will also unlock a special ascension stat on this phase, the ATK% Bonus of 6%.

Ascension Phase 3
After reaching level 50, Xinyan can be ascended to ascension phase 3, increasing her character level cap to 60. The 3rd ascension phase will also increase the ATK% Bonus special stat from 6% to 12%. Additionally, Xinyan’s combat talents can increase up to level 4.

Ascension Phase 4
At level 60, you can ascend Xinyan to ascension phase 4 and upgrade her character level cap to 70. After ascending, you will unlock Xinyan’s second Passive Talent called “…Now That’s Rock ‘N’ Roll!” All her Combat Talents can then be leveled up to 6.

Ascension Phase 5
The 5th ascension phase can be reached when Xinyan is at 70, which will increase her character level cap to 80. Her special ascension stat, ATK% Bonus, will be increased to 18% at this phase. Xinyan’s combat talents will also upgrade their level cap from 6 to 8.

Xinyan’s final ascension phase is at level 80, increasing her character level cap to 90. Her special ascension stat, the ATK% Bonus, will be increased to 24%, and his Combat Talents can now be upgraded to the maximum level of 10.

What are the Talent Level-Up Materials for Xinyan
To level up Xinyan’s combat talents, you will need Mora, hilichurl masks, and a few Tusk of Monoceros Caeli.
The Tusk of Monoceros Caeli is the horn of the whale that Childe summons as he throws himself into battle. You can obtain a few of these by completing the challenge against the Childe or Tartaglia in the Enter the Golden House Trounce Domain in Liyue.
You will also need talent books of the “Gold” series that you can get when completing the challenge in the Taishan Mansion Domain: Circle of Embers.
These books include the Teachings of Gold, Guide to Gold, and the Philosophies of Gold. The last two can be crafted using the crafting bench in the town.
Leveling a combat talent up from level 9 to 10 will need a Crown of Insight, a special item that can only be obtained as a reward from the game’s events.
