Beidou is a 4-star character that uses an Electro Vision and a claymore as her weapon. Her elemental skill and elemental burst are of the Electro element, but attacks are mostly normal and charged, which deal Physical damage.
Building Beidou is selecting the right artifact sets and stats for her. However, the stat and artifacts to consider will still depend on her role in your team and the play style you are going for with her.
Beidou can be the main DPS, mostly on the field, and throws most of the attacks on your team. She can also be a sub or off-field DPS with her elemental burst, Stormbreaker, which still works with your other active characters.

How to Build Beidou
As the main DPS character, you can build Beidou to have Physical Damage bonus stats on her artifacts and weapon because the play style will then involve a lot of normal and charged attacks. However, building Physical Damage will sacrifice her Electro Damage.
Electro Damage bonus should be the stat to prioritize for a sub-DPS type whose playstyle is more on casting elemental and spamming Beidou’s elemental burst. Physical Damage will not be as useful since you will mostly switch to Beidou for her elemental attack and then switch back to your main DPS character.
In level Beidou’s talent, you can leave her Normal Attack: Oceanborne talent at level 1 and have Elemental Burst: Stormbreaker at least at level 8.
Even though the strength of Beidou’s shield is based on her max HP, building her HP is discouraged since her shield works are not the same as other shield makers. Therefore, slots for the stat will be wasted on HP.
Artifact Sets for a Main DPS Beidou
Gladiator’s Finale
This artifact set is probably designed to fit melee characters whose play style involved normal attacks flawlessly. Equipping him with four pieces of this artifact set will not only increase his ATK by 18% but will further increase the damage of his normal attacks by 35%.
Shimenawa’s Reminiscence
Since Beidou’s play style alternates between elemental skill and normal or charged attack, the 4-piece set of this artifact can be a good choice.
Aside from the 18% increase in Beidou’s ATK, when she has 15 or more energy, she will lose 15 more after using an elemental skill, but the damage of her normal, charged, and plunging attacks will be increased by 50% for 10 seconds.
Echoes of an Offering
The 2-piece set of this artifact, like the two above, gives an 18% ATK bonus. If a 4-piece set is equipped, when normal character attacks hit opponents, there is a 36% chance that it will trigger the Valley Rite buff. This buff will increase the normal attack damage by 70% of the character’s ATK.
With Beidou’s normal attack combo play style, triggering the Valley Rite buff will not be a problem.
Artifact Sets for a Sub DPS Beidou
Emblem of Severed Fate
The 2-piece set of this artifact gives a bonus of 20% Energy Recharge, and if four pieces are equipped, the elemental burst damage of the character will be increased by 25% of the character’s Energy Recharge. A maximum of 75% bonus damage can be obtained in this manner.
This means that with the 4-piece set of Emblem of Severed Fate equipped, the higher the character’s energy recharge, the higher the damage of their elemental burst.
A full 4-piece set works well for an off-field DPS Beidou because she needs a boost to her Energy Recharge and the play style of this type involves spamming of her elemental burst.
This artifact set is great when paired with an Energy Recharge weapons like the Skyward Pride, Sacrificial Greatsword, and Katsuragikiri Nagamasa.
Combined 2-Piece Artifact Sets
Regardless of type and team role, you can still equip Beidou with artifacts that are combinations of different sets to achieve a decent damage output.
Thundering Fury
With Thundering Fury, its 2-piece set will give a 15% bonus to the character’s Electro damage. Although 15% doesn’t seem much, elemental damage bonuses greatly boost a character’s overall damage output.
Noblesse Oblige
The 2-piece Noblesse Oblige artifact set grants a 20% increase to the character’s elemental burst damage.
The Gladiator’s Finale, Shimenawa’s Reminiscence, Echoes of an Offering, and Vermillion Hereafter all give an 18% ATK bonus with its 2-piece sets, which can be paired with the 2-piece set of the Thundering Fury.
These six artifact sets can also be combined, and you will still get decent stats and damage output for Beidou.
You can also add the 2-piece set of the Emblem of Severed Fate to the combination, especially if your Beidou needs more Energy Recharge rate bonus or is a sub DPS type.
Artifact Main Stat
A Goblet of Eonothem with the main stat of Electro Damage or Physical Damage bonus should be equipped for a main DPS Beidou.
For the sub DPS type, you can go with either ATK or Electro Damage bonus one, depending on what works for your Beidou and what is available. This type should also consider a Sands of Eon with Energy Recharge as its main stat.
Depending on what Beidou lacks or needs, you can choose to have a Circlet of Logos with either Critical Rate, Critical Damage, or ATK as its main stat.
