Diablo Immortal: Purify the Corruption Zone Event Guide

Zone Events are zone-specific challenges that you will encounter randomly in Diablo Immortal. Each zone event will have a unique mechanic to complete to receive event rewards.

Purify the Corruption is the Zone Event for Dark Wood, wherein you must kill monsters and fill up a special event meter to complete the event within the time limit.

This quick guide outlines everything you need to know about the Purify the Corruption Zone Event in Diablo Immortal.

What is the Purify the Corruption Zone Event?

Purify the Corruption is a Zone Event exclusive to Dark Wood in Diablo Immortal. You can participate in this Zone Event from anywhere within Dark Wood, but you have to be at least Level 60 and playing in Hell 1 difficulty to unlock it. The event only requires you to slay as many enemies as possible within the Zone Event duration.

Purify the Corruption will continuously become active whenever you’re in Dark Wood. However, there is a 20-minute cooldown between events, which means you won’t be able to participate in the event for 20 minutes after initially completing it.

The Purify the Corruption Zone Event is active daily. While there is no time limit, you will still have to complete the event as quickly as possible, as a specific event mechanic will force you to fill up the Corruption Meter.

How does the Purify the Corruption Zone Event work?

In the Purify the Corruption Zone Event, you must slay as many enemies as necessary to fill up your Corruption Meter. This purple meter fills up whenever you kill any enemy within Dark Wood.

The Corruption Meter isn’t just a progress bar that shows you the Zone Event progress – you also receive additional damage from all damage sources as the Corruption Meter fills up.

The quickest way to fill up your Corruption Meter is by slaying the Blood Rose in the Blood Rose Lair in Fetid Swamp; doing so will add 28% progress to your Corruption Meter. It is recommended to do this first when taking on the Zone Event since saving the Blood Rose for last will make the Boss fight much harder as you’ll take more damage due to Corruption.

When your Corruption Meter reaches 100%, you will be prompted to head to the Tree of Inifuss. If you remember the Blood Resurrection quest in Dark Wood, you should know what happens next.

At the Tree of Inifuss, you will fight against your Shadow Clone, which you must defeat within 90 to receive Zone Event Rewards. After you defeat your Shadow Clone, the Zone Event will conclude and enter a 20-minute cooldown. After the cooldown, you can redo the Purify the Corruption Zone Event again if you desire.

Purify the Corruption Location

Purify the Corruption is a Zone Event exclusive to Dark Wood. You can complete this Zone Event from basically anywhere within Dark Wood.

With that said, you can fill up your Corruption Meter faster if you farm at Fetid Swamp, Sanguine Ruins, or Nesting Grounds, as these three locations offer high respawn rates and good monster density.

Purify the Corruption Rewards

Blood Rose Boss Rewards and Zone Event rewards are two reward sources in the Purify the Corruption Zone Event.

22 3

As mentioned in the previous section, you want to take on the Blood Rose as early in the Zone Event to fill up your Corruption Meter faster. Doing so will get rewards such as Gold, XP, and gear of random quality.

Of course, you will also get rewards for completing the Zone Event. Expect to obtain Gold, random items, and a Glowing Shard after you beat your Shadow Clone at the Tree of Inifuss.

Endless Corruption

The Purify the Corruption Zone Event is fairly simple, as you only need to slay monsters around Dark Wood to progress in the Zone Event. Killing the Blood Rose early should help speed up your progress and save you the headache of dealing with it later when you take in more damage from Corruption.
