Legendary Gems are arguably the most valuable items in Diablo Immortal. These gems can provide the powerful status buffs or special effects to your builds that you need to take your character to the next level.
One of the only ways to acquire these rare gems in Diablo Immortal is by crafting them. To do that, you will need Runes.
What are the Runes in Diablo Immortal
Runes are essential materials for crafting Legendary Gems in Diablo Immortal. As you might already know, Legendary Gems are some of the most sought-after items in-game because of the powerful buffs they provide to any class.
There are a couple of ways to acquire Legendary Gems in Diablo Immortal – crafting is one of them.
Depending on the type of Legendary Gem you want, you will need a specific type and multiple instances of Runes to craft these gems. You can check the Rune requirements for the available Legendary Gems for Crafting from the Jewelers in Westmarch.

Where to Get Runes in Diablo Immortal
There are only two ways to acquire Runes in Diablo Immortal – Elder Rift runs and through the Fading Embers Trader.
Elder Rift
Elder Rifts runs are the primary source of valuable items such as Gear, Gems, Gold, and other valuable loot. Defeat the Rift Guardian, collect the Reward Chest, and hope you get a Rune from the chest.
Runes drop randomly from Elder Rift runs unless you use a Crest or Legendary Crest to guarantee Rune drops.
Fading Embers and Runes Trader
Alternatively, you can visit the Fading Embers and Runes Trader in Westmarch. However, you will need a considerable amount of Fading Embers to purchase these Runes from the Fading Embers and Runes Trader.

Getting Crafty
There are quite a few Legendary Gems you can craft at the Jeweler using Runes. Now all you need is to go on a few Elder Rift runs or pay the Fading Embers and Runes Trader in Westmarch to collect the specific runes you need to craft your desired Legendary Gem.
