It wasn’t too long ago when Diablo Immortal devs promised a two-week update cadence that cycled between so-called Mini Updates and Major Updates.
For the start of Diablo Immortal Season 4, Blizzard has temporarily switched up their update frequency while they cook up the next Major update coming later this September.
For now, players can enjoy a host of new limited-time events, the new Season 4 Battle Pass, and a brand new Helliquary Boss.
Inner Light – Diablo Immortal Season 4 Battle Pass
The Season 4 Battle Pass, also known as Inner Light, will start on September 1 at 3:00 A.M. server time. And as with every Battle Pass since Diablo Immortal’s release, players can progress through 40 levels worth of challenges to collect valuable in-game loot.
While the regular Battle Pass features numerous loot that will satisfy most casual players, the Empowered Battle Pass gives out even more loot plus a new Inner Light Weapon cosmetic that players can unlock at rank one of the Battle Pass and an Inner Light Armor cosmetic at level 40.
It doesn’t stop there. Players can opt to purchase the pricier Collector’s Empowered Battle Pass to collect all regular loot rewards and both Inner Light cosmetics, in addition to an exclusive Inner Light Avatar Frame, Portal cosmetic, and an instant ten rank boost.
The Season 4 Battle Pass will run until September 29 at 2:59 A.M. server time.
Gishtur and Beledwe – New Helliquary Boss
For Season 4, Diablo Immortal fans are getting not one but two new Helliquary Bosses in Gishtur and Beledwe. The pair will count as the fourth Helliquary Boss to arrive in Diablo Immortal and brings powerful armaments forged from souls and flesh to the battlefield.
Only the best of the best can challenge the demonic duo in a fight to the death, which will be rewarded greatly – defeating Gishtur and Beledwe will reward players with Twin Horns, which gives players’ skills a 10% cooldown reduction in Challenge Rifts.
You will need at least a 4665 Combat Rating to take on the demonic twin, and you can start assembling your team on September 2 at 3:00 A.M. server time.
Insatiable Hunger – Hungering Moon Event
The Moon will never satisfy its hunger for blood, it seems, as the Hungering Moon Event returns yet again for Season 4 in Diablo Immortal.
You know the drill by now – Fulfill the Moon’s demands and gain Moonslivers in return. Trade these up for Blessings and trade them up for a random reward.
The Hungering Moon event will run from September 9, 3:00 A.M. until September 12, 3:00 A.M. server time.
The Scorched Sea
From September 14, 3:00 A.M up to September 28 at 3:00 A.M. server time, players can take part in the new Scorched Sea limited-time event.
Complete Scorched Sea tasks to receive rewards in-game. Complete enough tasks, and you can unlock the sand-blasted Scorched Sea Portrait Frame.
Mists of Cyrangar
Running behind in Server Paragon Levels? This is your chance to catch up!
The Mists of Cyrangar limited-time event will give players a bonus experience buff to all active players running a bit behind in Server Paragon Level. This should help players catch up in power level to prepare themselves for the battles to come in the first Major Update.
Blizzard says the first Major update “will put your skills to the test, ultimately pushing you.” Hinting at more powerful enemies and even more challenging missions coming in the Major Update.
As players progress through the event tasks, they will be rewarded with some loot, and the mist effect will slowly fade on the event page, eventually revealing a hint related to the first Major Update.
The event will run from September 21 at 3:00 A.M. until September 30, 3:00 A.M. server time.
Feature Updates
Legendary Gem Lock Function
- Legendary Gem tooltips will now have a lock button feature. This prevents players from accidentally consuming a gem while upgrading it.
Cosmetic Slot Addition
- A new Wing Slot has been added to the Inventory Cosmetics interface. After equipping Resonance Wings, acquiring or wearing new outfits will no longer remove the wings by default.
Event-filled Season
Diablo Immortal fans will definitely love the free loot that comes with the new Battle Pass and limited-time events in Season 4, which should keep fans busy enough until Blizzard completes the Major Update slated for the end of the month.
