Barn Finds have been a trademark of the Forza Horizon franchise ever since the first game launched in 2012.
The term “Barn Find” was coined because of how some of the rarest and most desirable cars can often be found sitting for years inside of a literal barn or barn-like storage. You have probably heard of a few stories from friends of friends where they were able to find a low-mileage, all-original classic car just waiting to be restored to its former glory.
The same is true in Forza Horizon 5. Scattered across the map are abandoned cars that have been kept inside a barn-like storage room for quite a while. These Barn Find cars can be acquired for free. All you have to do is unlock them and find them.
Barn Finds
Barn Finds are a staple in any Forza Horizon series, and we bet it’s here to stay. Barn Finds fit very well with the open-world narrative that Forza Horizon tries to express. Open-world gameplay encourages exploration, and with exploration comes discovery. Finding sweet little nugget rides scattered throughout the map in Forza Horizon 5 keeps the game interesting for new and old players alike.
Barn Finds can vary from one Forza Horizon game to another. The cars featured in Barn Finds are often culturally significant to the location of the Horizon Festival. For example, back in Forza Horizon 4, some of the barn Finds were classic British cars that fit nicely with Forza Horizon 4’s setting: The UK.
This time around, Forza Horizon 5 takes us to Mexico. Following the Barn Find trend of the previous game, we can expect to see a few cars which have cultural significance to Mexico.
Barn Finds are free and will only take time to unlock and restore to their former glory.

Barn Find Map Location Outline
Here are the approximate locations of the Barn Find houses scattered across the map. Most of these locations are off-road, so we suggest that you take a vehicle with tall suspensions such as SUVs or rally cars. Taking AWD vehicles on your Barn Find search can help you find the locations much easier.
We would also like to add that, for some of these cars, knowing the exact locations of these Barn Finds will not allow you to take them home right away.
As we have mentioned on the unlocking details on some of the cars on this list, you will need to complete specific Optional Accolades to unlock some of the Barn Find cars. We have tried to access these locations ourselves, but without the proper Optional Accolades unlocked, we simply could not open the Barn and acquire the vehicle inside.
Barns aren’t just for livestock
Barn Finds are the cheapest way to unlock and acquire rare cars in Forza Horizon 5. Playground Games have continually added Barn Find cars that are relevant to the story at hand in every Forza Horizon franchise since its release.
Forza Horizon 5, for example, features some Barn Find cars that have made a name for themselves in Mexico. Featuring cars tied to the car culture of the Horizon’s location is a very nice touch.
That’s about it! Go ahead and explore the entire map to find your very own Barn Finds in the Horizon!
