Being such a fantastic RPG, Genshin Impact is expected to have many appearance options for players. The majority of players want to change their characters’ outfits and clothes but can’t seem to find how.

When in the character menu, there is a wardrobe icon next to the ascend button. But is this a way to change outfits, because only gliders are given an option to alter?

How to Change Clothes in Genshin Impact

Many people are puzzled when they don’t receive any appearance rewards from quests. Articles of clothing seem missing in shops, quests, chests, etc.

So this begs the question, can you change your clothes in Genshin Impact? Well, the short answer is no, you cannot change your clothes in Genshin Impact.

This is unfortunate since the game breaks some ground on becoming one of the top free-to-play RPGs out there. Appearance altering is a massive aspect in these games, and can drastically hurt one if it doesn’t provide this.

Nonetheless, at least the characters are already well made and esthetically pleasing for all players. Furthermore, you can change your wings, at least.

This is how you change your wings in-game:

Open up the Character Menu.
Click the wardrobe icon next to level-up or ascend. You will be taken to the dressing room where you can choose an appropriate glider for a character.
Select a glider and click switch.

For now, this remains the only thing you can change about your appearance. However, the developers may be adding the option to change your clothes in the future.

There isn’t a particular statement for this, but most of the players seem to think so. We don’t know yet if this is some “woo,,” but it’s weird how the menu icon for changing gliders is a wardrobe one.
