In Supergiant Games’ Hades, the gods of Olympus or Olympians will help Zagreus in his quest to escape the Underworld. By helping Zagreus, the Olympians believe he aspires to leave the Underworld and be with them in Olympus. They do not know that is not Zagreus’ intention, and he wants to leave the Underworld to find his mother. Besides, without their aid, Zagreus could not escape the Underworld.
One of the Olympians that helps Zagreus in his Underworld escape attempts is Dionysus. Dionysus, the God of Wine, is Zagreus’ cousin. In this guide, you will learn about Dionysus’ boons to help Zagreus in his Underworld escape attempts.
Zagreus gets help from the Olympians in the form of boons, which are upgrades that make him stronger. A boon can be obtained from completing chambers as a reward or by purchasing it from Charon’s Shop for 150 Obols. Boons, however, are effective only during the current escape attempt, after which they vanish once Zagreus has died and returned to the House of Hades.
Boons
Zagreus receives boons that revolve around Dionysus’ signature Status Curse called Hangover and various drinking-themed Boons. With Hangover, afflicted enemies suffer continuous damage every half second. Hangovers can be stacked upon an enemy up to five times, and stacks wear off one by one after four seconds.
On nearly all of his offensive boons, Dionysus offers damage over time abilities. Zagreus can also gain other powerful utility abilities such as stuns, slows, damage reduction effects, heals and health, and items.

Final Thoughts
Dionysus’s health-centered Boons are great boons to have. His Strong Drink boon can save your life once you have unlocked Fountains in each realm. Additionally, After Party allows you to heal back to a certain threshold after each fight, which can help during challenging runs.
Dionysus’ Aid can also be an excellent boon to have. With this boon, you deal a high Area of Effect damage that lasts even after the call has ended. Even if Zagreus will not be impervious to attacks when using the call. It is still one of the best calls to use even without having a maximum gauge, and it has the highest damage call compared to the other gods.
It is also important to note that accepting all of Dionysus’ Boons at least once will complete one of the prophecies in the Fated List of Minor Prophecies called God of Wine which will reward 150 Gemstones.
