If you enjoy Clash of Clans, you know how frustrating it can be when one of your villages suddenly disappears, especially if you’ve sunk some real-world cash into fortifying it. Nothing frustrates a gamer more than wasted progress. Luckily, there are ways you can get that lost village back in Clash of Clans. We’ll walk you through how to recover lost villages and avoid losing them again.
Recovering Villages on iOS
- Open Clash of Clans.
- Tap the Settings icon.
- Tap Help and Support.
- Tap Lost Village.
- Tap the topic that applies.
If the directions do not answer your question, tap Contact Us and include the information below under Help! I Can’t Access My Account.

- Open Clash of Clans.
- Go to In-Game Settings.
- Tap Help and Support.
- Tap Lost Village.

Help! I Can’t Access My Account!
Not to worry, Supercell has you covered. Simply email them at [email protected] and provide them with the following information:
- Name of the lost village.
- Name of the clan that controls that village.
- The lost village’s town hall level.
- The lost village’s XP level.
- The date and time that you last played with this village.
- Explain how you lost the village (as best you can).
Supercell may require additional information from you. If this is the case, they will communicate it to you via email. There is no guarantee that you will get your village back this way. If you’re unable to convince them that it was your village or they can’t locate the village due to a lack of identifying information, you could be out of luck.
Prevention is Better Than a Cure
Got your village back? Good. Now, please don’t lose it again. Back up your village in one of two ways.
iOS (Game Center)
- Open Game Center.
- Log in with your Apple ID credentials.
- Your Clash of Clans account will automatically link with your device.
Recover the game from Game Center by going to Game Center and loading the correct village when prompted.
Android (Google Play)
- Open Clash of Clans.
- Go to In-Game Settings.
- Locate the Google Play sign-in.
- Tap Disconnected.
- Tap the sign-in button and use your Google Play credentials.
Recover the game from Google Play by tapping on Google Play in your game settings and selecting the correct village.
Supercell Recommendation
Supercell recommends that users only have one village linked to their account. If you attempt to get more villages, you risk losing one or more. They also caution users who seek to use the email method to gain access to other people’s accounts and villages. Supercell promises that this will be met with severe disciplinary action.
