After what is probably one of the biggest PR disasters in gaming, Blizzard the studio is slowly picking itself back up. We were promised more updates on the upcoming Overwatch sequel, and we just got a new trailer and release date for Overwatch 2.
Check this out:
Not only do we have the release date of October 4, but we also have a look at a new playable tank character Junker Queen. We don’t really know who she is in the story yet, but we are familiar with her domain of Junker Town. It’s going to be fun to see her interacting with the other post-apocalyptic survivors Junkrat and Roadhog.
Though we don’t have our best look at the game yet, Blizzard is set to hold up a Reveal Event livestream this coming June 16. Hopefully by then we can get a good look at the changed mechanics, as well as any more incoming characters that we’ve yet to see in the game.
Overwatch 2 arrives October 4 as an always-on, always-evolving, free to play experience. Team up in a new 5v5 PvP experience, featuring new and reworked heroes, new maps and modes, and more.
Learn more about the newest tank hero to join the roster: Junker Queen, Overwatch 2’s live service model and seasonal content plan during the Overwatch 2 Reveal Event livestream June 16 at 10 AM PT.
Overwatch 2 is set to release on Oct. 4. The current iteration of Overwatch is available for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
