In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, the player is a member of the Galaxy Expedition Team, also known as the Galaxy Team. As an important member of the Survey Corps, they must learn more about the Pokemon found in the Hisui region.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus Ultimate Psyduck Guide

One of the game’s main objectives is for the player to catch each kind of Pokemon in the region to complete the Hisui Pokedex. The all-powerful Arceus also orders players to find every Pokemon in the region. As a result, the player must be familiar with all of the Pokemon found in the Hisui region.

This guide will discuss everything you need to know about Psyduck in Pokemon Legends: Arceus!

Psyduck

Psyduck, the 68th Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is a Water-type Duck Pokemon that has a body that looks like that of a duck’s or a platypus, a body filled with yellow fur, a pair of oval eyes with very small black pupils, a wide, cream-colored beak, three strands of black hair on top of its head that are thick, a pair of stubby hands with three digits on each hand, a round belly, and a pair of cream-colored webbed feet.

According to its Pokedex entry in the game, Psyduck suffers from constant headaches, and if its power erupts, even if it does not intend to, the pain becomes unbearable. So, the people in the Galaxy Team are finding ways to cure its pain.

Basic Information

Psyduck is a Water-type Pokemon, meaning it is weak (super effective) to Electric-type and Grass-type moves and resistant (not very effective) to Fire-type, Ice-type, Steel-type, and Water-type moves.

Psyduck’s base stats are 50 HP, 52 Attack, 48 Defense, 65 Special Attack, 50 Special Defense, and 55 Speed.

Psyduck evolved to a Golduck when it reached Level 33.

Psyduck prefers Springy Mushrooms, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans. Aside from berries, these foods can be used as a lure to catch or battle and as food to feed Psyduck.

The player will obtain a Medicinal Leek and a Ball of Mud if a Psyduck is defeated or caught.

Location

To find a Psyduck, the player can head to the following locations:

In the Obsidian Fieldlands: in The Heartwood.

The Crimson Mirelands: in Gapejaw Bog, the Golden Lowlands, and the Holm of Trials.

image 37

In the Coronet Highlands: in Wayward Wood and in the Lonely Spring.

The player can find Psyduck in these areas at all times of day and in all weather conditions.

Aside from these, the player may find Psyduck in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Crimson Mirelands and the Cobalt Coastlands.

Research Tasks

The following are the Research Tasks in Psyduck’s Pokedex entry in Pokemon Legends: Arceus:

MultiplierResearch TaskObjectives
x2Number caught1/3/6/12/25
Number of heavy specimens you have caught1/2/3/4/5
Number defeated1/3/6/12/25
x2Number you have defeated with Electric-type moves1/2/4/6/10
Times you have seen it use Confusion1/3/6/12/25
Times you have given it food1/2/3/4/5
x2Number you have evolved1

A Pokemon’s entry in the Pokedex is complete when it reaches Research Level 10. A Pokedex entry’s Research Level increases by one level each time one of a Research Task’s objectives is achieved. The Pokedex entry obtains two Research Levels rather than one after completing an x2 Research Task objective.

In addition, the player gains Research Points for completing Research Tasks and Pokedex entries. If the player accumulates enough Research Points, the player’s Star Rank in the Galaxy Team will be increased.

To quickly complete Psyduck’s Pokedex entry, the player can feed a Psyduck five pieces of food or berries, then defeat two more with Electric-type moves. Doing all that will tick the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth objective of the “Times you have given it food” Research Task to gain five Research Levels; tick the first objective of the “Number defeated” Research Task to add one Research Level, and tick the first and second objective of the “Number defeated with Electric-type moves” Research Task to raise four Research Levels, thanks to its x2 multiplier, to get to Research Level 10.

The player can level up their Psyduck or visit the Training Grounds to teach their Psyduck new moves.

Relevant Request

Psyduck is involved in Request 32, called the “The Headache-Stricken Psyduck” Request.

To unlock this request, the player must be able to travel to the Crimson Mirelands, which is possible after the player receives the “Arezu’s Predicament” mission (mission 8), where the player is tasked to quell the fierce Lady of the Ridge Liligant.

To start this request, head to the Crimson Mirelands and go to the Diamond Settlement, which is just east of the Mirelands Camp, and there the player will find Martia, surrounded by three Psyducks, next to a tent on the northeast part of the area.

Talk to her, and she will ask the player if they know of any medicine that can cure headaches, as she requires it for her suffering Psyduck. She will tell the player that none of her medicines cured her Psyduck, but she wants to help them. She will then ask the player to seek medical assistance from the Galaxy Team.

Next, head back to Jubilife Village, go to the Galaxy Hall, and head to the room on the right side of Captain Cyllene’s office, where the player will find an older man named Tomma. Talk to him, and he will tell the player he has a Secret Medicine that only people from his hometown know how to make.

He will then give the player a dose of Secret Medicine, which he says works wonders after giving it to any ailing Pokemon, and even a Psyduck’s headache will clear right up.

Conclusion

Afterward, return to Martia and her Psyducks in the Diamond Settlement in the Crimson Mirelands. Talk to her, and she will take medicine from the player. She will try it on her Psyducks, who will look happy and relieved. Martia will then thank the player for helping her find the medication.

She will then say that while she had previously been concerned about the Galaxy Team, now that she is aware that they are the kind of people who would assist strangers, she is relieved and may even visit the Galaxy Hall.

Finally, the “The Headache-Stricken Psyduck” Request is completed, and the player is rewarded with one Max Revive for your efforts!

Due to all this information, Psyduck is now easier to find, catch, and use in battle. Psyduck can also be an excellent member of the player’s party in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. It can help by assisting the player with missions, requests, and even the all-powerful Arceus’ task for the player to catch ’em all!
