In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, the player will get involved in the Galaxy Expedition Team, popularly called the Galaxy Team, as a key aspect of the Survey Corps to learn further about the Pokemon encountered in the Hisui region.
One of the game’s main objectives is for the player to capture every kind of Pokemon in the region to fill out the Hisui Pokedex. In addition, the all-powerful Arceus orders the player to find and meet every Pokemon in the region.
This guide will discuss everything you need to know about Scizor in Pokemon Legends: Arceus!
Scizor
Scizor, the 74th Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is a Bug and Steel-type Pincer Pokemon that has a metallic red and black body that looks like that of an insect’s, a pair of eyes with dark yellow pupils, three blunt horns at the top of its head that are connected to the front of its face.
This black, thin neck is connected to its body on a black marking on the top part of its torso that is shaped like an upside-down teardrop, two pairs of retractable wings that are colored gray and have curved venation, broad, red shoulders, a pair of segmented arms with large, red pincers on each arm with a dark yellow circle marking on each pincer, a rounded abdomen that is large with three chevron-shaped stripes at the front, a pair of red legs with big hip joints, slim thighs, wide calves, and a toe with a claw on the end of each of its foot.
According to its Pokedex entry in the game, Scizor evolved by using an interesting item. Its shell seems to be stronger than steel that is forged.
Basic Information
Scizor is a Bug and Steel-type Pokemon, which means that it has a four times weakness (super effective) to Fire-type moves, a resistance (not very effective) to Bug-type, Dragon-type, Fairy-type, Ice-type, Normal-type, Psychic-type, Steel-type, and especially Grass-type moves, and an immunity (no effect) to Poison-type moves.
Scizor’s base stats are 70 HP, 130 Attack, 100 Defense, 55 Special Attack, 80 Special Defense, and 65 Speed.
Scizor evolved from a Scyther by using a Metal Coat. Scyther can also be evolved to a Kleavor by using a Black Augurite.
Scizor’s favorite foods are Springy Mushrooms, Dazzling Honey, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans. These foods and berries can be used as food for Scizor and a distraction before catching or battling it unawares.
Whenever a wild Scizor is defeated or captured, the player will receive a Seed of Mastery and an Exp. Candy L.
Location
The player can only find a Scizor inside Space-Time Distortions in the Alabaster Icelands.
Research Tasks
The following are the Research Tasks in Scizor’s Pokedex entry in Pokemon Legends: Arceus:

x2 | Number caught | 1/2/3/4/5 |
Number defeated | 1/2/3/4/5
Numb you have defeated with Fire-type moves | 1/2/3
Times you have seen it use Double Hit | 1/3/6/12/25
x2 | Times you have seen it use X-Scissor | 1/3/8/20/40 |
x2 | Times you have seen it use an agile style move | 1/2/4/10/15 |

Every time one of a Research Task’s objectives is accomplished, a Pokedex entry’s Research Level increases by one level. After completing a Research Task objective with a multiplier of x2, the Pokedex entry gains two Research Levels.
Once a Pokemon’s Pokedex entry reaches Research Level 10, it is complete. In addition, the player receives Research Points for finishing Pokedex entries and Research Task objectives. The player’s Star Rank in the Galaxy Team will be increased if they accumulate enough Research Points.

To quickly complete Scizor’s Pokedex entry, the player can catch one by evolving a Scyther using a Metal Coat, then use it in battle and X-Scissor three times with at least two of them in Agile Style. Performing these will tick the first objective of the “Number caught” Research Task to raise two Research Levels because of its x2 multiplier, tick the first and second objectives of the “Times you have seen it use X-Scissor” Research Task to add four Research Levels also because of its x2 multiplier, and tick the first and second objective of the “Times you have seen it use an agile style” Research Task to gain the four Research Levels needed to reach Research Level 10 also because of it x2 multiplier.
