Probably one of the most common criticisms when it comes to HBO’s incoming series The Last of Us is that actress Bella Ramsey doesn’t look like the game’s version of Ellie. What’s interesting is, modder @Speclizer has teased an incoming mod for the game that will bring Ramsey to the actual Last of Us.

The model of Bella was actually sculpted by @Vontadeh with tools from @smasher248. We don’t know what the model looks like in action yet, but it would certainly be cool to try it out before (or maybe even after) the release of the series.
I’ll admit, Ramsey doesn’t look like the character model at all, and even the series itself hasn’t tried to match them as closely as they could. If anything, I’m actually interested in the series direction of trying to capture the main essence of the show without having to copy the entire thing frame by frame. Maybe the differences are actually there to remind us that the series will be going through its own story, but that’s just my own speculation.
If anything, I’m excited for the series. Mazin did some amazing work with Chernobyl, and with Neil Druckmann being brought into the show, I think we’re in for one of the more faithful video game adaptations ever made.
