Time to change your in-game resolution in Valorant.

How To Change Resolution in Valorant

Valorant typically runs at your monitor’s default resolution. That resolution will be the standard 1080p (1920×1080) for many players. However, nothing stops you from using all the other resolution options in the settings menu in Valorant.

This quick guide will show you how to change your screen resolution in Valorant.

How do I change the screen resolution in Valorant?

You can change the screen resolution in Valorant through the Video Settings tab under the Settings menu in-game.

  1. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the Valorant main menu.

What is the best resolution for Valorant?

The best resolution will depend on your preferences. Some players will have no problems playing on the default 1920×1080 resolution, while others want to change the default res to their preferred settings.

Regardless of your resolution choice, you must remember that most lineup guides online will be based on the default 1920×1080 resolution. Changing the in-game res to something other than the default will cause alignment issues with lineups.

That said, pick the resolution that gives you the best visibility and performance.

How to use Stretched Res in Valorant

You can use Stretched Res in Valorant by picking any 4:3 resolution options in the resolution menu. If you’re playing on the default 16:9 resolution, picking a 4:3 resolution will automatically fill the screen with your desired resolution.

Back in the day, you would have to change screen fill settings through your graphics card menu to get a stretched resolution on CSGO and other FPS titles. Riot Games realizes that many Valorant players would want to use stretched res, making the option more seamless.

Remember that changing to stretched res will affect anchor points for lineups and other setups in-game, so adjust accordingly.

Final Thoughts

Screen Resolution, like many other settings such as Crosshair shape, size, and color, is a matter of preference for many Valorant players. What works for others might not necessarily work for you, but it is still worth trying the various screen resolution options in Valorant to get a good idea of the pros and cons they offer in-game.
