Watch the Seasonal Content Vision for Overwatch 2

Here’s the official clip description:

Overwatch 2 ushers in a new era for the franchise as a free-to-play live service game that evolves and grows over time. Go behind to scenes and hear from the development team as they share details on Overwatch 2’s plan to deliver a steady cadence of new heroes, maps, modes and more through free seasonal content updates every 9 weeks that ensure there’s always something new to play.

Besides the game finally doing away with loot boxes, we also have a look at cosmetics, and how we’ll be able to get more specific with our heroes’ looks besides the pre-designed skins. The game will also introduce ‘charms’ that look to be keychains that you can attach to your weapons.

We also have a look at a bunch of new locations for the game. With characters like Widowmaker, Junkrat, and Reinhardt getting their own specific maps, the sequel promises to bring us to Torbjorn’s factory as well as Lucio’s dance club.

Overwatch 2 comes to PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on Oct. 4.
