Best Mods for My Time at Sandrock

My Time at Sandrock is an RPG with life and crafting sim elements that have become a hit among “cozy gamers” due to its beautiful visuals, engaging gameplay, and uniquely fun lore. As a licensed builder, you are entrusted with the restoration of Sandrock, which has its economy in shambles after an apocalyptic event. Sandrock is also where you will meet a mixed bag of quirky characters that help you in this adventure, some of whom you can marry.

Despite being still in Early Access, My Time at Sandrock has several mods on platforms like Nexusmods and Modlabs. A passionate group of creators is behind the mods that help fix any gameplay or graphical issues the original developers can’t immediately resolve.

Fans of the “My Time” series favor the sequel’s vast improvements in the graphics and gameplay compared to the first game. However, some aspects of the game players feel that need some tweaking or enhancements. Thankfully, like Portia, Pathea Games ensured My Time at Sandrock could easily be modded. So, here are some amazing mods we recommend you give a try!

The Best Mods to Download For My Time At Sandrock

Map Teleport

To say that Sandrock is enormous is an understatement. Although the game is incomplete, it already gives us plenty of areas to explore, such as the desert, ruins, dungeons, etc. Unlike the first game, running no longer tires you out due to the absence of the sprint bar, which is great considering the amount of exploring, scouring, and foraging you must carry out to fulfill missions.

Later in the game, you can build a transportation system to travel anywhere on the map. But if you’re a casual player with little patience to wait for the mid-game content, you can use the Map Teleport mod to jump to any location, no matter how far.

This mod is also recommended for players who have played the game at least once, as having the ability to teleport anywhere can make you feel overpowered.

Regeneration

Most games in the farming sim genre these days often include cooking mechanics in their gameplay. Cooking food gives you consumables that can restore your stamina and health or get special buffs. However, some players find cooking in games a menial task. If you’re among those who agree with that, then this mod is for you.

Regeneration lets you gradually restore your health while you take a break from your chores. Realistically speaking, we should be able to regain our strength if we don’t do any strenuous activities over time. With this mod, you can become ten times more productive.

Do all your builder tasks in the morning, head to town and socialize with the NPCs in the afternoon while your stamina and health regenerate, and follow through with your work in the evening.

Unlimited Orders

As Higgins from Portia would always say, “Commissions, commissions. The more, the better!” If you share the same views as Higgins, you would likely enjoy completing several commissions in one day. Unfortunately, this is not allowed in the game. Builders who are only ranked 1 star can only pick one job from the commission board. Some quests are so easy that they can be finished in less than a day. And you’ll have to let a day pass to be allowed to take another job.

The Unlimited Orders mod lets you accept and complete daily commissions as often as possible. This mod makes earning Gols and becoming friends with the Sandrock locals easier. Those who feel immense satisfaction from completing commissions should give this mod a go.

Max Stacks

Max Stacks is a quality-of-life mod you need if you always have problems managing your inventory. You will be compelled to hoard since you’ll frequently gather materials for building objects in the game.

You must make storage boxes or buy backpack slots to prevent running out of space from the constant hoarding. What’s more, there’s a stack limit for items. Once the item stack reaches its cap, it will fill up another backpack slot.

This mod essentially increases the number of a particular item you can stack to 999. With this mod, you can save a lot of space in your storage box and hoard items without limits. You may also set the stacking size of the items however high you prefer, as the mod is highly configurable.

Free Love

Free Love is the perfect mod for those who can’t decide which bachelor or bachelorette to marry, as it allows you to have multiple partners without drastic consequences. Normally, if you try to fool around in the game and get caught, your current boyfriend or girlfriend becomes jealous, losing friendship points with them.

But with Free Love, having multiple lovers becomes socially accepted. As terrible as this may sound in real life, no longer will your current partner feel jealous upon catching you kissing another character. Now, you can get to know all the dateable characters and pursue them all simultaneously.

No Sleep

Time management is an integral aspect of any modern sim game. It reminds players to make the most of the day should they not want it to go to waste. Since the My Time series has time-sensitive commissions, you must be efficient in everything you do.

However, the game also suggests not to overdo it. Hence, you will pass out if you stay up until 3:00 a.m. As a result, your neighbors will comment on how tired you look throughout the day.

No Sleep ignores these rules and allows you to stay awake until the next day. And you’ll even wake up feeling rejuvenated. This mod may be considered cheaty, but it makes completing missions faster, as you’ll surely be able to work through the night without fainting from exhaustion.

Conclusion

My Time At Sandrock is finally nearing completion, but it still has a few relatively minor flaws that can easily be fixed with mods. We owe it to the modding community to create must-have mods that improve the game’s overall playability. Note that some mods may break or become invalid whenever the game updates. But we can expect these broken mods to be fixed once the game is fully released.

My Time At Sandrock is now available on Steam Early Access and Epic Games Store. Its full version will soon come to the PS5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Xbox X, PC, and Nintendo Switch on November 2, 2023.
