At the beginning of your Genshin Impact journey, you will choose between two characters. Both of them have the ability to obtain the power of Geo, or any other element for that matter.
In total there are seven elements, and technically all of them are obtainable, or will be obtainable in the future. For now, only Anemo and Geo abilities can be unlocked.
Today, we will teach you how to obtain the power of Geo in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact – How to Get Geo Abilities ![]()
The developers have announced their plans of making the other elements available too. We don’t know if this is intended for the next big update in November, but we will have to wait and see.
The default starting characters – either the sister or the brother, can easily harness these powers because they’re not from Treyvat. After interacting with an Anemo Statue at the beginning, your character will immediately gain Anemo abilities, something that’s very rare.
Let’s get to it. This is how to obtain the power of Geo in Genshin Impact:
- First, find the Geo Statue of the Seven and travel to it. Look at the reference screenshot:
- Interact with the statue.
- After you do so, you will have unlocked the power of the Geo Element in Genshin Impact!
There are other statues you can interact with. However, this is the only one which gives you abilities. To switch between Anemo and Geo abilities you will need to visit the corresponding statue to the wanted elemental skill.
After you have switched to Geo, you will get two abilities – one elemental skill and a burst. With your elemental skill you can summon a powerful crystal which will deal damage to enemies that hit it.
The burst ability will cause a shockwave that deals damage around the player. Using Geo, you can walk on the crystals which is great if you want to travel different kinds of terrain.
Like I said above, this are the only two unlockable skill with the main character. Genshin Impact’s developers are very optimistic and they’ve planned a lot of exciting new additions in the upcoming update. If you want to switch your abilities, good luck!
