One of the Shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the Daag Chokah Shrine or the Daag Chokah’s Blessing. The Shrine itself is no challenge at all. As you enter the Daag Chokah Shrine, Link can access the Shrine’s chest, he will be able to access the altar, and he will be able to talk to the monk immediately. The real challenge is completing The Lost Pilgrimage Shrine Quest to access Daag Chokah Shrine. In this guide, you will learn how to complete The Lost Pilgrimage Shrine Quest to access and complete Daag Chokah Shrine, obtain the chest inside, and claim the Spirit Orb.

Link will be rewarded with Spirit Orbs for completing Shrines. The Spirit Orbs obtained can be exchanged for more Heart Containers or Stamina Vessels. As there are 120 Shrines all over Hyrule, Link can get 120 Spirit Orbs. You get to decide whether you want Link to have more Hearts or more Stamina.

The Daag Chokah Shrine can be found in the northwestern part of the Great Hyrule Forest and the Korok Forest. As mentioned above, Link must first complete The Lost Pilgrimage Shrine Quest to reach the Daag Chokah Shrine.

The Daag Chokah Shrine is one of eight shrines in the Woodland Tower region.

The Lost Pilgrimage Shrine Quest

The Lost Pilgrimage Shrine Quest is one of three Shrine Quests of the Korok Trials. The Korok Trials is a side quest in Breath of the Wild where the Korok elder Chio tells Link that the Koroks have prepared a series of trials for him. Once he has completed all of the trials, Chio believes he can pull the Master Sword from its Pedestal.

To start The Lost Pilgrimage Shrine Quest, Link must go to the Korok Forest and head on the path in the west, passing through a huge log and in the Lost Woods until he finds a Korok standing on a rock named Tasho. Talk to Tasho, and he will ask you for a favor to follow Oaki, another Korok, without being noticed to make sure nothing happens to him while he does the Korok Trial.

You will discover Oaki just ahead of the path from Tasho. To complete this Shrine Quest, Link must now follow Oaki to his destination without being found. Here are a few tips to help in this Shrine Quest:

  1. Follow Oaki while crouching and maintaining your distance.
  2. Make sure to hide behind trees or tall grass when Oaki turns around to check.
  3. Watch out for the speech bubbles when he talks to locate him as there will be moments where Oaki will be hard to find because he is small and the same color as the environment.
  4. Aiming the Magnesis Rune ability or the Stasis Rune ability can also help to locate Oaki, as doing this will change the colors of the environment.
  5. Using stealth clothing, like the Stealth Mask, Stealth Chest Guard, and Stealth Tights, can also help reduce the noise every time Link moves.
  6. There will be a moment where a wolf will appear. Make sure to not attack it while you are near Oaki. Preferably, you can attack it with Link’s bow and arrow but make sure Oaku is not close so he will not be startled.

After following him, you will reach the Daag Chokah Shrine, and Link can now access it. Just like that, The Lost Pilgrimage Shrine Quest is completed!

Now that you have completed The Lost Pilgrimage Shrine Quest, you can enter the Daag Chokah Shrine. This Shrine will no longer have a challenge or puzzle inside as the puzzle was already on trying to access the Shrine. Upon entering the Shrine, this is what Link must do:

  1. Upon entering the Daag Chokah Shrine, head up the stairs and there will be a chest. Open the chest to obtain an Ancient Core.
  2. Then, after the chest, continue ahead and talk to the monk and claim your Spirit Orb!

The Daag Chokah Shrine or Daag Chokah’s Blessing is one of eight shrines in the Woodland Tower region. The other shrines are the Monya Toma Shrine or Drawing Parabolas, the Keo Ruug Shrine or the Fateful Stars, the Mirro Shaz Shrine or the Tempered Power, the Ketoh Wawai Shrine or Ketoh Wawai’s Blessing, the Rona Kachta Shrine or Rona Kachta’s Blessing, the Kuhn Sidajj Shrine or Kuhn Sidajj’s Blessing, and the Maag Halan Shrine or Maag Halan’s blessing.
