In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, the player will join the Galaxy Expedition Team, also known as the Galaxy Team, to learn more about the Pokemon found in the Hisui region. The game’s main objective is for the player to catch every Pokemon Species to fill out the Hisui Pokedex. In addition, the all-powerful Arceus demands that the player meet each Pokemon in the region.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus Ultimate Monferno Guide

This guide will discuss everything you need to know about Monferno in Pokemon Legends: Arceus!

Monferno

Monferno, the 62nd Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is a Fire and Fighting-type Playful Pokemon that has a body that looks that of a primate’s but with orange fur and tan skin, a tuft of fur on top of its head, a pair of round eyes with brown irises and a red marking in between the eyes and a blue marking above its eyes.

It also has a short, tan-colored muzzle with two small but pointed teeth visible in its upper jaw, a pair of large, tan-colored ears, a white, jagged tuft of fur around its neck, a tan marking on its belly that has a swirl on top, a pair of arms with tan-colored palms and five, tan-colored fingers on each hand, golden bands around the top of both its arms, a pair of legs with three toes on its tan-colored feet, and a long tail with a red ring on its base and a fiery tip.

According to its Pokedex entry, the deeper the blue is on a Monferno’s face, the more powerful it becomes. Also, Monferno jumps around and can land powerful attacks on its enemies using the flame on its tail.

Basic Information

Monferno is a Fire and Fighting-type Pokemon. Hence, it has a weakness (super effective) to Flying-type, Ground-type, Psychic-type, and Water-type moves and resistance (not very effective) to Dark-type, Fire-type, Grass-type, Ice-type, Steel-type, and especially Bug-type moves.

Monferno’s base stats are 64 HP, 78 Attack, 52 Defense, 78 Special Attack, 52 Special Defense, and 81 Speed, for 405.

Monferno can be evolved from a Chimchar when it reaches Level 14. It can also be evolved to an Infernape when it reaches Level 36.

Springy Mushrooms, Dazzling Honey, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans are favorites of Monferno. They serve as excellent lures before catching, battling, or feeding Monferno.

After defeating or capturing a Monferno in the wild, it will drop a Spoiled Apricorn and a Sitrus Berry.

Location

The player can only find Monferno in the following areas:

In the Obsidian Fieldlands: in the middle of Ramanas Island.

C3E8293C 09F5 4058 81C9 960283B0F6FF

Monferno can be found in the mentioned area at all times of day and in all weather conditions.

Also, Monferno can appear in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Obsidian Fieldlands.

Research Tasks

The following are the Research Tasks in Monferno’s Pokedex entry in Pokemon Legends: Arceus:

MultiplierResearch TaskObjectives
x2Number caught1/2/3/4/5
Times you have seen it use Flame Wheel1/3/6/12/25
x2Times you have seen it use Flamethrower1/3/6/12/25
Times you have given it food1/2/3/4/5
x2Number you have evolved1/2/3

When a Pokemon reaches Research Level 10, its entry into the Pokedex is considered complete. When one of a Research Task’s goals is met, a Pokedex entry’s Research Level rises by one level.  After completing a Research Task with a multiplier of x2, the Pokedex entry gets two Research Levels rather than one. The player also receives Research Points for completing Research Tasks and Pokedex entries, which, if sufficient, can increase the player’s Star Rank.

To quickly complete Monferno’s Pokedex entry, the player can feed a Monferno food or berries four times, catch it, then use it in battle and Flamethrower three times. Doing all these will tick the first, second, third, and fourth objectives of the “Times you have given it food” Research Task to raise four Research Levels, tick the first objective of the “Number caught” Research Task to gain two Research Levels thanks to its x2 multiplier, then tick the first and second objective of the “Times you have seen it use Flamethrower” Research Task to raise four Research Levels because of its x2 multiplier to reach Research Level 10 ultimately.

Moves

Monferno can level up or go to the Training Grounds if the player wants to learn new moves.
