One of the Shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the Daqo Chisay Shrine or The Whole Picture. This shrine requires Link to conduct electricity and route it towards various parts of the shrine to open entryways and reach the altar. This shrine may seem confusing and intimidating, but this shrine is fairly easy to complete, and in this guide, you’ll learn how to complete the Daqo Chisay Shrine, obtain the chest inside, and claim the Spirit Orb.
Link will be rewarded with Spirit Orbs for completing Shrines. The Spirit Orbs obtained can be exchanged for more Heart Containers or Stamina Vessels. As there are a total of 120 Shrines all over Hyrule, Link can get a total of 120 Spirit Orbs. You can decide whether you want Link to have more Hearts or Stamina.
Location
The Daqo Chisay Shrine can be found outside Gerudo Town in the southwestern part of Hyrule (the shrine is south of the Northern Icehouse or west of the Palu Wasteland). The Daqo Chisay Shrine is one of 12 shrines in the Wasteland Tower region.
It is worth mentioning that the climate in the area is scorching during the day and very cold during the night so make sure that Link has heat-resistant armor, food, or elixirs for the daytime and cold-resistant armor, food, or elixirs for the nighttime.
The Whole Picture
Upon entering the Daqo Chisay Shrine, you will see that Link is on top of a platform with a power source. Connected to the power source are paths that conduct electricity, but some parts are disconnected. Ahead of the platform that Link is on is a closed gate with the altar inside, and on the left side of the gate are two closed gates, a metal barrel, and a huge metal cube. Meanwhile, on the right side of the gate is a wider closed gate.
In order to complete the Daqo Chisay Shrine, this is what Link must do:
- First, drop down on the left side of the platform that Link is on. You will find two paths, one being longer than the other, that are electrified and glowing green. You will also find a metal barrel. Press the up directional button, select the Magnesis Rune ability, and then press the L button to aim. Aim at the metal barrel, and press the A to activate the Magnesis Rune ability on the metal barrel.
- Using the Magnesis Rune ability, bring the metal barrel to the end of the long electrified path. Doing so will conduct electricity on the metal barrel and continue the path of electricity. The electrified path will now be longer.
- After that, press the L button to aim the Magnesis Rune ability at the huge metal cube. Press the A button to activate the Magnesis Rune ability and bring the huge metal cube to the end of the now longer path to electrify the next path further.
- After that, the leftmost gate will be opened, revealing another metal barrel. Press the L button to aim the Magnesis Rune ability. Aim at the just-revealed metal barrel, and then press the A button to activate the Magnesis Rune ability on the metal barrel. Using this ability, bring the metal barrel to the end of the other path (the shorter one on the same side near the power source).
- Next, press the L button to aim the Magnesis Rune ability and aim at the previous metal barrel (the first metal barrel Link used). Press the A button to activate the Magnesis Rune ability on the metal barrel and bring the metal barrel to the end of the newly electrified path.
- Then, press the L button to aim the Magnesis Rune ability, aim on the huge metal cube, and press the A button to activate the Magnesis Rune ability again on the huge metal cube. Bring the huge metal cube to the end of the newly made path to further electrify the next path.
- After that, the gate on the right of the previous gate will open and reveal a chest. Open the chest to obtain a Thunderblade.
- Next, press the L button to aim the Magnesis Rune ability, and aim at the newly opened chest, press the A button to activate the Magnesis Rune ability on the metal chest, and bring the chest to the right side of the shrine and set it down on the short electrified path.
- Then, go back to the left side of the shrine, and press the L button to aim the Magnesis Rune ability. Aim at one of the metal barrels, press the A button to activate the Magnesis Rune ability, and bring the metal barrel to the right side of the shrine. Set it down on the end of the newly electrified path.
- After that, go back to the left side of the shrine, and press the L button to aim the Magnesis Rune ability at the remaining metal barrel. Press the A button to activate the Magnesis Rune ability on the metal barrel. Bring the metal barrel to the right side of the shrine and set it down on the end of the newly electrified path.
- Next, go back to the left side of the shrine, and press the L button to aim the Magnesis Rune ability at the huge metal cube. Then, press the A button to activate the Magnesis Rune ability again on the huge metal cube, and bring the huge metal cube to the middle of two platforms on the wall on the right side of the shrine.
- Then, the wide gate on the right side of the shrine will open and reveal another huge metal cube. Press the L button to aim the Magnesis Rune ability at one of the huge metal cubes. Then, press the A button to activate the Magnesis Rune ability, and bring the huge metal cube to the right side of the flight of stairs that leads to the gate to the altar which is also the end of the longer path on the right side of the shrine.
- After that, press the L button to aim the Magnesis Rune ability at the other huge metal cube, and press the A button to activate the Magnesis Rune ability on the huge metal cube. Bring the huge metal cube to the left side of the flight of stairs that leads to the gate to the altar which is also the end of the longer path on the right side of the shrine.
- Finally, the gate to the altar will be opened! Head up the flight of stairs, go through the entryway, go near the altar, talk to the monk, and claim your Spirit Orb!
