There are many things that are hierarchically very important in Valheim. One of them is definitely mead bases. If you aren’t aware what mead bases are, they’re simply the potion base and can be fermented to acquire plentiful potions. Now, since they have a huge impact in the game, especially against potent enemies, one can only wish to have as many as possible. But as we will see, this will be a difficult task!
That is the reason why berries are desired so much by players. Things like blueberries and raspberries are ingredients for making mead bases. But is there a fast way of getting them?
How to Farm Berries – Valheim
Now, “farming berries” is a bit of a subjective term. The reason is that there is regular farming – growing stuff in the ground and then obtaining your fruits. Or, there is the other type of farming – when you grind and play, in order to get something as fast as possible.
The former is not possible, i.e. you cannot grow or plant any raspberries or blueberries. The latter, well, is technically possible.
There are no “fast ways” of farming these though. Unfortunately, at the time of writing, Valheim hasn’t been out for that long, and not many players have been able to find out a way which is sufficient, and that would prove to generate a lot of berries.
Players must go the old-fashioned way when it comes to berries, i.e. pick them out from bushes. You may know that berries can spawn in any biome, which means that you can farm them anywhere.
This also means that while you’re doing your normal routine in Valheim, or you’re out on a certain quest, you can focus on gathering berries at the same time.
It is unusual how not many are aware that you can actually generate impressive numbers in berries with gathering them while progressing through the game.
Nevertheless, stuff might change in the future, and it is very interesting that there were many speculations that Valheim’s berry growing and farming will be a thing. However, this is mostly speculation and based on circumstantial evidence.
We will have to wait and see. Until then, make sure that you’re gathering your berries in all biomes!
